We’ve known Moules & Gin for years and have always had fond memories of the great food and service. Sadly, our recent visit was a real letdown. From the beginning, the experience was frustrating — the order was taken incorrectly, and we were left waiting far too long without anyone checking in on our table. Eventually, someone who seemed to be either the owner or manager did come by and apologized, which we appreciated. However, she also complained about the staff — something that, as guests, we’d rather not hear. We simply wanted a meal served in a reasonable time with a minimum level of attention, which unfortunately didn’t happen. To their credit, they did offer us an extra beer as a gesture, but the overall service didn’t match even basic expectations. What was even more uncomfortable was being asked for a tip at the end, despite everything. It’s really disappointing to see how far the experience has declined. Sadly, it’s not a place we’ll be returning to any time soon.

Excellent mussels - we were pleasantly surprised! Fresh and yummy. Service was also very good. Overall, a great place if you love mussels. We will definitely be going back, and with friends

We celebrated my husband birthday and it was great. We've been going there since arriving in CASCAIS 8 years ago and the quality has always been fantastic! I never worry about having shell fish at M&G! Our favourite is the champagne sauce. 🥂🎂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We had the Moules da Semana (beer & cilantro) and Moules Thai both with chips. Great value for massive portions especially with a 30% TheFork discount on mains! The beer mussels especially were surprisingly delicious. Nice little restaurant off Yellow Street.

Neither me nor my partner are seafood lovers. However, after a few drinks on a night out about 5 weeks ago we decided to be daring and booked a table on a whim. Since then, we have been back 4 times - and each time it seems to somehow get better. There is not an ounce of fish smell that come from the mussels, which tell you they are as fresh as they can possibly be and no matter which one off the menu we try, they continue to surpass expectation. The staff are friendly, catering, knowledgable and quick! The last couple of times we have been we have sat outside and enjoyed our food in the sunshine. If there was only one tiny bit of constructive criticism, it is that it could perhaps do with some light music inside to add a little more atmosphere. We enjoy it here so much we even brought family here when they visited last week (they loved it as much as we do) and we already can’t wait to come back again🙌🏻

This is a favorite of ours. The staff is fantastic, warm, friendly, welcoming! The Moules are incredible! So many different preparations and the gin is fantastic!
