Power went down twice. Food took about 1 hour to be ready. Shrimp curry came with frozen shrimps, still not cooked enough, no curry and soaked rice. Expensive dishes that do not justify the cost.

Where to start ? A cold Janusry evening at a restaurant whose front door could not close. Aircon pumping out cold air to add to the misery that was topped off by four electric power outages. No attempt from the management or SEF ers to rectify or apologise for the totally unacceptable conditions. The staff were totally disinterested in engaging with any of the “chilled” customers. The food served was perfectly fine but could not be enjoyed as a result of the terribly cold conditions. A most unpleasant, unenjoyable evening and I would welcome comments from the management of Taberna as to why we suffered in such a way and why we should ever consider returning.

A lovely friendly restaurant serving local traditional Portuguese dishes. We had gazpacho, salt fish fritters, octopus and wild boar. All were delicious. Highly recommended.

We love this restaurant, it’s typical, authentic Portuguese cuisine but Tapas style! Lucia gives her own touch to every dish and accepts tweaking as you wish!! Truly a little gem this restaurant!!

Wonderful food, we were just starving by the time it came and would have preferred the main to have come together with the sides rather than on its own -- I think that's just how it is in low season and so staffing was stripped back. But the food was cooked perfectly, the petitiscos are inventive and delicious. I would definitely recommend to friends -- just maybe at a time of year when it's livelier!

This find has something different to offer. Great quality food with authentic flavours, a nice range of wonderful dishes and in case you prefer to have a bit of everything there are wonderful tapas to choose from. The restaurant has a nice selection of wines. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth a visit!
