3/10A total disappointment! My husband and I were excited to go back to the Taberna as we had dined there during our previous visits to Madrid and the food was excellent! Not the case this time around. Our food was bland (not common for Spanish food), cold and it gave us the impression that it had been sitting out for a while. The service was good at best. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it!!

10/10It was a big surprise. In the center of Madrid, a warm place, without ambitions. Delicious food, excellent service. Absolutely amazing. This place has fame and great history. The best ending to a great day.

10/10This was recommended by friends of ours who live in Madrid, and the food was among the best we had in our week there. Lively bar out front, serving a sophisticated crowd close to the theater, and a small dining room in the rear where we were. Traditional, exceptional, great value, highly recommend.

10/10Wonderful food, wonderful service. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Madrid. Walls are decorated nicely with pictures of famous guests. If getting desert you must try torrija alabardero

10/10This little gem is right across from the Royal Palace in Madrid. Everything about it is incredible! Genuine Basque cuisine that is delicious. Every bite was incredible, highly recommend!

9/10Nice atmosphere, very pleasent staff. You can sense its history. The meal was very good but not excellent. It is a pitty that we arrived at 23:40. They were prepairing to close.

10/10Very welcoming, lovely atmosphere, great food. They made it a very special evening for my wife on her birthday, and were able to get something off-menu for me (I'm vegetarian). Wonderful!
