When we came and Saw the pictures of the food . We thought it was the wrong place . It was to cold to sit outside and We Got a table inside in the Back . I was so Nice and a good style with velvet chairs and lamps made of baskets. The food and service was good and the Price good . We Will recommed this place

The starters were a let down, pate had no flavor what so ever and was strangely served with ginger bread, which did not go together well at all. The two fillet steaks we ordered came out totally different in size and although we ordered both medium one came out a lot rather than the other so I wasn’t blown over with the meal but it wasn’t too bad. The knifes are awful and difficult to hold due to them being a really strange shape. They looked nice but not at all nice to use. The service was ok but as the restaurant got busy the service level dropped a bit.

Unfortunately, we waited almost an hour before being served the wrong order. There were similar problems on another table , so, we paid for our drinks and left.

The price is really good after the fork discount. Unfortunately we were told we can't by by the app. Nevertheless, the food was very tasty (grilled veggies and marine products).

What a shame, the food was good when it finally arrived, but got the order wrong and only after I had eaten half the meat they then said , sorry we don’t have any more potato gratin. Shocking. The staff try but have no idea.

The tuna with mango and creme brulee, all fresh and home made were delicious. I Will certainly return when next in Alicante. The waitresses were really nice too.

We had to wait 40 mins despite the restaurant being very quiet . My wife ordered fillet steak without foie gras but it came with it on top. Her steak was overdone as well. They didn’t have the dauphinoise potatoes so we ordered a side of fries which arrived 5 mins after our mains. When we were asked if the food was ok we said about the steak and the foie gras and the waitress said well the fries were ok! We won’t return.

We were searching for something different from Spanish food, and began searching The Fork for options when we came across Bistro Le Kanotier (French). The ambiance is inviting and condusive for conversation (important for date night with my husband). The food was lovely... We enjoyed delicious foie gras terrine with a sweet, like cake type of bread, followed by the freshest endive, mixed greens, walnuts & roquefort cheese salad. Next was the escargos (always a favorite!), then we shared the Duck Magret with a seasonal vegetable timbale on the side. We drank wonderful wines to compliment the meal and spent less than 70E for the entire meal. Elena was a professional & engaging server. The only thing that would have been wonderful, is if they offered French wines on their list. That would have been the best addition. We will be back........
