4.5/10The lamb ehere 95 % bones, no kidding, taste was okay. For 2 glasses of Brunello 2018, they charged € 40,- no kidding either. Never again!

10/10Valentino is a character and a half, (I think that,s his name) full of locals so it must be good. Great food and a very reasonable price. Serenaded by Valentino on his guitar.

6/10This restoran has good food, service is so-so. When paying keep in mind, the waiter (old man) writes the cost in a notebook and the bill is much higher then what is in the menu. Also the receipt is not given.

10/10A lovely little place with superb food and a fun atmosphere. The owner occasionally brings out his guitar and serenades the patrons. Definitely make a reservation if you plan to dine after 8.

10/10Well worth the walk away from the more touristy areas. Such a fantastic welcome from Giovanni who is the perfect host: warm, funny and a great guitar player! Traditional Italian food in a traditional trattoria. You will not be disappointed!

10/104 nights in Rome and this was our very fav restaurant and memory. If you are lucky, the owner comes out and serenades you. It was a pleasant surprise and a memory we will never forget. And the food is authentic and not your typical tourist-y spot which are on every corner in Rome. Also, the price point!!! Such a great and inexpensive spot for what you get. Same dishes are twice as much in in other restaurants and don’t taste half as good. We got the Caprese, Vongole, Cacio e pepe and some amazing limoncello cake. Would get the same things over and over again. Thank you for such an amazing time. We will be back next time in Rome.

7.5/10We were in Rome for 7 days and visited trattoria giovanni di Valentino twice, as we were so amazed by the food and environment. Both servers were very friendly and we loved giovannis little music act, as he grabbed the guitar and began to sing. The food is amazing as well, very fresh and affordable. All and all I can just say, if you want good food and very kind servers, please visit this lovely restaurant. Thank you so much, we will be back !!

10/10This little restaurant was recommended by a Facebook group about Italy and it did not disappoint. The staff was so fun and the food was delicious! Give this place a try, you won’t be sorry.

9/10Very welcoming with a great atmosphere. The impromptu guitar player was brilliant, bursting into song every now and then. Food was very good both in taste and value and the service prompt and friendly. This is a proper trattoria and a real gem.

9.5/10It was the first time making a reservation with thefork and it was perfect. I received a confirmation plus a call. When our group of 16 people arrives everything was prepared an we had a nice dinner. Trattoria Giovanni di Valentino is a small place, but special. Even this time (it was my 4th visit) Giovanni took his guitar and sang a few songs like "Lasciatemi cantare".

10/10What a fabulous restaurant! Food = delicious Ambience = superb, live music, one of the waiters sings to his tables Wine = also delicious Character = unparalled ££ = affordable I don't usually leave reviews but this place is gold dust. It's not fine dining but for a fun evening out, it's such a great laugh and really tasty dishes
