4/10The veal was dry and tasteless, no texture or flavour. The ravioli was overcooked and dry, missing. The best part of the meal was the sparkling water. The buttered vegetables are okay but the potatoes are burnt and too salty.

10/10A great little restaurant where we enjoyed superb food and great attentive service. Tucked away in suburbia but punching above its weight. Would highly recommend. Booking also recommended.

10/10Affumico is a little outside the main tourist area of Bologna, but is more than worth the detour to this intimate neighbourhood gem for the friendly and charming service and the addition of the perfect level of smokiness to the food. An interesting and expertly-curated wine list, and very realisable prices, mark this out as place to return to.

5.5/10very small restaurant. we had made a reservation several days before and when we arrived we were surprised to see that our table was right next to the wc. We did not accept to sit in this very bad place. We politely asked to be seated at another table. There were tables available. But they informed us that it is for more people. Finally we sat at the bar. The tables remained empty for quite some time. 2 people came without a reservation sat down without asking at the table of their choice.... What can I say .... The waitress was kind. Food just good. Nothing special. The wine very good

9.5/10A short taxi ride from the centre of Bologna however, well worth the effort. The food is fresh and delicious. Staff were super friendly and explained the menu in detail. We enjoyed beef cheek burger, pulled pork pasta, sides of potatoes and beans. So yummy. Basic ingredients but elevated in a clever way to make them special.

10/10Wonderful ambience & service from the moment we arrived. Excellent wine suggestion from a small producer in NE Italy, which they were beginning to support…small production wine from bespoke producers. The food, whilst mainly smoked, had the most delicious, subtle flavours, each dish unique & memorable. We walked from our hotel in 25mins & it is in a really nice neighbourhood. The ambiance of the space is spot on, with timber furniture & washed concrete walls. The best part is that it is not your standard Bologna / Italian fare. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

8.5/10Food was great, the braised beef particularly was so tender. Excellent sides, potatoes tasty and crispy, the smoky beans were amazing. My only criticism was the lack of bbq sauce available to go with the pork. I appreciated the fact they separated both and didn't drown the pork in bbq sauce, however if you're going to have bbq sauce as a side, at least put offer more than a 25 ml shot glass of it. Food itself is great, just a bit tight on the bbq sauce.

8.5/10Small restaurant, foods are delicious, local people prefer. but they need an english menu, otherwise you have to google all menu as we had to do.
