The food was well prepared and enjoyable, yet many of the dishes felt somewhat contrived in their effort to live up to Michelin expectations. Behind the polished presentation, there was little genuine innovation or culinary personality. Small Wine selection and a bit to much talk on them, before one got permission to just teast them.

Amazing performance pieces around presenting the food and wine. A great way to spend an evening. Inventive and tasty food. We had the vegetarian and the fish taster menu. Friendly and attentive staff who clearly enjoy their jobs.

The tasting menu was beyond what I could have expected. It clearly deserves its Michelin star. Every course was unique and delicious. Each course was linked to Portuguese culture, folklore and traditional ingredients. After the meal I felt ashamed to see the Fork discount applied. I would recommend Alameda to anyone seeking a true dining experience.

Truly excellent food. Real clarity of flavour. One of the best tasting menus we have had

We were looking forward to experiencing Alameda, it had many good reviews. It's a quaint restaurant and we received a warm welcome. However, from there, the service was disappointing - after finally ordering drinks, we had to actually get up and ask where they were after 20 minutes. The food is really good, but the options provided are very limited. 3 starters, all fish, 3 main courses2 fish, 1 duck and 2 desserts. I'm allergic to oranges - which we had informed them of, yet one of the main courses had orange and one of the desserts...... Worse, we were a 7PM booking, they only open at 7pm, yet when we ordered, 3 people wanted the duck and they only had 2 available - how can that be ? Does that mean for the rest of the night, everyone had 3 fish options for starters and 2 fish options for main course ? Oh - you can have water but dont ask for sodas - they don't do them.....The food is good, yet at the end of the evening the overall feeling is disappointment.

We didn’t choose for the menu, because 8 courses is just to much. The a la carte menu was simple but the food was realy delicious. Once the staff knew we didn’t order the menu they were less friendly. The tea we ordered was just hot water. Not enough tea in it and this for 18€ … a little biscuit or little chocolate with it would have been nice. If you don’t like it that people eat a la carte, make a big and a little (4 course) menu.

It is one of my favourite restaurants on the planet. Every visit has been superb. The food is up there with the best, and the attention to detail, tending to telling a story through food, is fantastic. If you go, treat yourself to the wine pairing. — Again sublime.

We enjoyed our meal but were surprised to find the restaurant no longer offers any meat options? This is a shame as we are all carnivores. The dishes were delicious, especially the oysters and skate starters but we found the main courses too big, especially the monkfish which is already a very thick meaty fish and we felt did not need to be encased in pastry. Service was excellent as was the wine tasting!

The staff was very attentive and helpful. Extremely relaxed but efficient atmosphere. The tasting menu relating to Algarvian legends is a wonderful concept and the cards with illustrations and the legends themselves was particularly charming. Such a pleasant evening!

Ingredients was good, the cooking was awful. Basically poured soysauce allover the oyster and called it ponzu…. Wine sucks too…when the price of a glass is more than a bottle somewhere else, i asked tor dry white wine and all I taste is acidity…
