We were there for honeymoon celebration. Food was mediocre, slightly overpriced, service was ok. However, they have served us with the wrong dishes, we have just took one bite and stop immediately. We told the staff and he then talked with the shop owner, the same staff came back and assured us we will not be charged with the wrong dishes. But when we paid the bill, we were charged and the “manager” also taught us a lesson “you have to pay what you eat”. They gave us £10 discount which I do not understand why, if they think the fault is not theirs. It is just an isolated event and my rate did not reflect my disappointment, but if you trust me, choose Terrazza Moro, stunning view, 10/10 service (professional wine pairing), 10/10 food, same price of this restaurant.

Grouper dish was served raw and had to be sent back to cook. The rest of the food was bland and fish in pasta dishes was tough and poor tasting.

arrived in Taormina and dined at Bistro du Monde. Small cosy restaurant, friendly Boss and staff. We ordered Land & Sea tasting menu, and tried a rose sparkling wine. Dishes used local ingredients and nicely presented. Loved dessert platter most: tiramisu, pistachio semifreddo and chocolate mousse. Overall a nice restaurant and dining experience.

Recommended by our B&B host. Did not disappoint. Friendly staff, great service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere. Favs were the lamb, lobster pasta, truffle tagliatelle, tiramisu and pistachio semifreddo. Our last meal was at a Michelin-recommended restaurant, and this was far superior.

A huge disappointment. This restaurant was recommended and looked great when we checked it out the night before, but expectations were dashed. The service and food were both unacceptable. The Maître d’ ignored our table and all but one of the others, focusing his charm and attention on a table with two young women. The result was a schism between waiters and the kitchen. For the starter they served the wrong dish to one guest and another had to wait five minutes longer for the carpaccio to de-frost (which it almost did). For the main course it was the same: one diner was served the wrong dish and another had to wait for theirs. No apologies. Two of the main courses were served with tepid meat and cold vegetables. It was clear that communication between kitchen and front of house was shot. The Maître d’ was unprofessional, ignored our table almost entirely and the other waiters were friendly but chaotic. It felt like the kitchen was using good quality ingredients, but was out of kilter. This standard of service and food was completely unacceptable for a restaurant with quality aspirations. Other reviews show the restaurant can perform well, but the maître d’ and kitchen seemed to be completely distracted this night. It was an awful experience. Beware.

Nice food reasonably priced in a bustling side street off the main strip through Taormina. Service was excellent and the waitress in particular engaged with us in a really positive and friendly way.

We walked past this restaurant a few times driving our trip ma d finally decided to book. The staff were welcoming to our family which included to young children. The menu is high end, but there is something for everyone. The quality of food and service was outstanding.

Friendly, welcoming. Food below average. Especially the starter which was supposed to be gamberi rosso wasn't at all gamberi rosso. It was frozen shrimp on top of sweetened patato. Rissoto with prawns... well I could only find two shrimps in a bowl of rice (instead of rissoto it was more like Chinese rice). The pasta with shrimps and tartufo... this was no tartufo. It was shreded mushrooms with pasta that had two shrimps. My humble suggestion would be for the restaurant to up their kitchen and start from scratch to determine the meals that they plan to serve.

The food was good, service was shambolic and one waiter took food to a table that was wrong and once he realised his mistake took it straight to another table even though some of it had been eaten.
