There are several schools of thought when it comes to pizza: some like Neapolitan; others prefer Roman; some are fans of Chicago deep dish and others prefer New York style. Bonkers Pizza brings the latter to Lisbon. We are talking about pizzas with large slices and crispy dough that can hold the weight of the toppings as it should. We tried the pepperoni and pineapple ones. The first comes with a spicy honey sauce, which proves to be an essential complement to a pizza that would otherwise be somewhat mundane. The pineapple one, on the other hand, is quite tasty and a breath of fresh air, it's good enough to make us come back. The space matches the concept and has the aesthetic of a New York pizza joint. Is NY- style pizza the best? We don't know, we prefer to remain agnostic in that debate. But we have no doubt that this is a good replica.

Wanna start by saying insanely great service from Mafalda, so sweet and down to earth. Easily one of the best/most decadent potato salads I’ve ever had. Very solid cedar salad. Cheesecake was nuts. Price point was fair since portions were very generous. Very solid pie. Loved the arcade/decor/vibe; reminded me of classic nyc pizza joints. Don’t miss this spot.
