Not as tasty as original ukrainian food (maybe not enough spices? Not sure) and overpriced a lot.

The food is not good as traditional Ukrainian food. The starters were provided that were replaced and no one told us about. Definitely the place I won't return back

It took too long for the food to come, it was pricy and the restaurant had better sittings than the ones they gave us, apart from that it was a nice experience and good meal

+5We joined our friends for a memorable dinner with Portuguese wine. It was our first time for Ukrainian food and it was excellent. Our waiter provided great recommendations for appetizers, main dishes and desserts (3 milk was amazing!!). Everyone enjoyed their food and we will return.

I really enjoyed my evening at Burjinelli. I did not know much about Ukrainian cuisine but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and authentic. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.

We visited Burjineli Restaurant on Valentine’s Day hoping for a cozy, enjoyable dinner with friends. The food was okay — nothing bad, but not particularly memorable either. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere affected the experience more than the food itself. The lighting was very bright, which didn’t match the Valentine’s mood, and at one point a staff member loudly called across the restaurant about the air conditioning, disturbing everyone. At our table we had people speaking English, Portuguese, and Russian. Even though English is mentioned as available, the waitress chose to communicate mostly with one person and seemed to ignore others trying to engage, which felt rude. There was also some confusion with timing — we were asked about desserts while still waiting quite a while for the main dishes. Overall, the evening felt less enjoyable than expected mainly because of the service, and unfortunately we don’t plan to return.
BURJINELLI - Ukrainian Restaurant LisbonThank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your experience was not as expected. As we had a 'double seating' that evening, we unfortunately couldn't provide our usual level of individual attention to every guest. Regarding the desserts: since your reservation was at 9:00 PM and our kitchen closes at 10:30 PM (restaurant closes at 11:00 PM), the waiter asked early to ensure you could place an order before the kitchen closed. Regarding the language barrier: not all of our staff members are fluent in English. Had you asked for an English-speaking waiter, we would have been happy to assist you personally to avoid any misunderstanding. We have taken your notes about the lighting and service into account. We hope you might give us another chance on a quieter evening. Best regards, The Management of Burjineli

Excellent food experience.

Dark beer on tap was a nice treat. The pancakes with salmon and caviar was delicious though cleared from the table before we were finished. The stroganoff was dry and lacked flavor. The chicken Kiev was okay.

This is an amazing place where you truly feel at home thanks to the incredibly delicious food. I am Ukrainian and I know the taste of real homemade cuisine — and this restaurant pleasantly surprised us from the very first dishes. We had borscht with salo — rich, authentic and absolutely fantastic. The stuffed cabbage rolls were tender and truly homemade. We couldn’t decide on dessert, but the incredibly kind waiter described all the options so appetizingly that we chose the syrnyky — and they literally melted in our mouths. Very friendly staff, a warm atmosphere, and special thanks for the Ukrainian music — favorite hits from the 2000s and modern songs made the evening even more special. I truly recommend this place to everyone who wants to try authentic Ukrainian cuisine and feel real warmth and hospitality. ❤️🇺🇦

First time trying ucranian food, and it was great, service was very friendly as well :) Prices are fair for the most part, specially for that area of the city, but for a full meal be prepared to pay around 25-30 euros pp
