As Casa Prati was our first experience with The Fork, we went back after four years. The restaurant has a nice interior and we enjoyed a warm welcome. We selected some local appetizers (fiori di zucchini and polpette di melanzane) a main dish and some side dishes. The service was very (too) fast, so it took some effort to finish the abundant portions. The quality was really good. Not too much refinement in the presentation but tasteful food. Casa Prati had quite an extensive wine list too, with lots of wines at very affordable prices. A really good restaurant anyway.

We shared cod croquettes and both had the carbonara. Both were excellent. Our dark chocolate cake was delicious and a generous portion to share. Though we speak Italian, the staff all spoke English to us. Most of the clientele was Italian I did not feel like I was in a touristy restaurant which was a relief after dinner the previous night in Trastevere.

Wonderful polpette. Delicious pasta. Yummy dessert. We loved it and the staff was friendly and helpful. Many Italians coming in for dinner. Quiet relaxed chic atmosphere.

It was our first night in Rome and we found this nice little restaurant very close to Vatican City. We chose to sit outside as it was a lovely evening. A very simple menu produced excellent food. The service was prompt. Unfortunately they had run out of the Cod filet much to my wife’s disappointment but they made up for it with an excellent version of Tiramisu. We strongly recommend.

Found in one of the more 'fancy' areas of Rome. Excellent local cuisine and friendly staff. Prices are more than reasonable. Has a very nice selection of wines as well

Absolutely amazing food. Service was friendly, however, not enough staff to handle the size of the restaurant. We were missing drinks several times. Otherwise excellent and highly recommended!

It was an interesting dining experience! We had barely sat down and the waiter brought the menus and then he started suggesting what antipasti we should have. We’d travelled all day and were super tired so just went along with it and ordered a few. He came back with them in a flash and was asking what we wanted for our mains. Food was plonked on the table amongst menus, drink menus and it felt a rushed. However the pasta was really delicious- beautifully cooked and flavoursome.. I asked for a carafe of tap water but we got already opened bottles of mineral water (so too late!) at €4 a pop... Thirsty kids went through three of those! All in the food was very tasty and generous portions so that’s a huge win. Just the service felt a bit pushy. Everything reasonably priced for Rome except a 75cl bottle of beer at €12!!! House wine delicious.

Really nice experience! The restaurant is lovely and the are staff are wonderful! They speak English which was good since our Italian isn’t great. The menu has lots of choices and the portions are sizable. Would definitely recommend Casa Prati (make reservations as they get busy) and it is our plan to eat there again while in Rome.

Fantastic restaurant with authentic, well prepared Roman cuisine. The service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating. I was here for work and my group turned from 5 to 11 people and they accommodated with no problem. Fantastic restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant and I'm looking forward to returning back!

Tucked in the heart of Prati, this restaurant surpasses expectations. The attention from the hostess and server were excellent. The food was authentic and delicious. The ambience crisp and comfortable, and perfect for a group of 5 to talk leisurely over dinner without having to raise our voices. Would go back in a heartbeat!
