7.5/10Very nice restaurant with excellent service. But we ordered a menu for 10 people and the food was terrible. Some tasteless croquettes, some strange balls, ordinary potatoes with sauce. And then potatoes with egg and squid are in general some kind of kindergarten. It is not tasty and very small portions

9.5/10Pericana spicy salt cod and pepper dip was great. Local Riesling white wine. A millefeuiile included liver cod and goats cheese. Rice dish of monkfish and clams has a rich reduction.

10/10A great option for a special meal, or a more relaxed selection of tapas at the bar. A wonderful mix of both traditional dishes, and dishes with an interesting twist on a traditional dish. Service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive.

7.5/10Solid, quality food, but dining alone I felt obligated/convinced to sit at the bar instead of a table, pushed to one side of the bar to make room for couples, ..whole place designed for couples … early part of the night shouldn’t have been an issue, service was still great, food was fantastic…. But felt a bit dismissed just because I was by myself

9/10Our friends recommended this place to us and it was a great wxperience. The food was excellent, some dishes a delicious surprise, like brocheta de langustino or canutillos. The service super nice and helpful. Definitely a place worth visiting.

10/10Beautiful food with utterly amazing flavours - try tapas for one such as Sour apple millefeuille with foie, goat cheese and smoked cod or Stewed Iberian pork cheek with apple plug and potato cream,or Fake tomato with goat cheese mousse and basil. Lovely friendly staff who explained the menu, made us feel really welcome and served some of finest flavours/food/wines in Alicante. Will be back.

9.5/10We were a bit early for dinner at 8pm so the restaurant was a bit quiet but the food and service were great. Interesting dishes which are a bit different from the other tapas places.

Es difícil resistirse a los encantos de comer en una barra, mientras asistimos a los tejemanejes del personal y disfrutamos de esa joie de vivre que debe ser siempre la gastronomía. La de César Anca es una de las más concurridas de Alicante gracias a una serie de factores que la convierten en un caballo ganador. Por un lado, la calidad de sus productos del mar, que se someten siempre a cocciones precisas y las más depuradas técnicas. Su proximidad al puerto, que le dota de ese charm inconfundible que siempre tienen los locales cercanos al mar. Sin olvidar una presentación exquisita y un ambientazo a cualquier hora del día. Y es que los parroquianos saben perfectamente que la cocina de César Anca es un valor seguro: tanto te corta un jamón de bellota como te sirve unos huevos rotos con chistorra y pimientos o se marca un pan taiwanés con tartufata, bacon y queso cheddar. Especial atención merece su apartado de I+D, un espacio de la carta para los paladares más innovadores. Aquí encontramos desde una crêpe crujiente de pato y manzana con maraña de puerro frito a un falso tomate de mousse de queso de cabra y albahaca, que demuestran que la cocina mediterránea clásica no tiene por qué estar reñida con la creatividad. Y que en La Barra de César Anca, ese lugar en el que prácticamente nos integramos en la cocina, todo vale siempre que esté bueno. Sus huevos rotos son muy populares entre el personal. Los de carbonara de trufa son sensacionales.
