Service was lovely, but the food was very disappointing— my husband had the duck and it was decent, but the croque monsoir was two pieces of bread and a slice of ham that didn’t even cover the bread. I had the onion soup as well, and it was just ok.

Chez Barbara is a fun, tasty little local restaurant only a few short blocks off the Champs Elysees. Barbara is the smiling owner who always seems genuinely happy to see you. It is a great french menu with simple classics like french onion soup and beef bourguignon as well as seasonal dishes. Her English skills make it easy for non-french speakers to settle in and enjoy the food and wine pairings she suggests. We'll be back!

We spent our New Years Eve there last night and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was great. The atmosphere was fun and inviting and we even had Barbara as our server. She was so funny and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Very good small bistro near Champs Elysee. Barbara greeted us herself and made us feel at home in her restaurant. The beef bourguignon was fantastic and her wine pairing excellent. We ended with her delicious cream brûlée. We will return!

Both meals were good and personal service. Ambience is Ok nothing special, it was not noisy compared to other places. The plate presentation was fair, however it taste very good and the portion were large enough.

The onion soup was far from the traditional French onion soup I was expecting. The soup was watery with virtually no onions or cheese in it. There were three large croutons, which were like toasted stale bread. The beef bourguignon was tasty, but arrived cold - like it had been frozen or refrigerated. The escargot was fair. The carpaccio was very good. The chocolate fondant and tarte tartin were excellent and easily the highlights of the meal.
