Myself and my wife visited this lovely restaurant for a day trip to Tavira for our honeymoon. It was hands down one of the best meals we’ve had the privilege of eating. We booked in advance and so glad we did! I had the tomato prawn bisque and my wife the truffle mushroom risotto. We also had a side of fries with aioli dip- it was superb. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and what a lovely atmosphere. We would highly recommend visiting here and would love to visit again when we come back. A must visit if you love delicious food with amazing service.

We have dined here before and, on that occasion, thought the food was very good. On this trip, the cheeseburger was completely dried out, it seemed to have been cooked earlier and then simply reheated when ordered. This is consistent with the fact that is was served within minutes of ordering, not nearly long enough to have been freshly prepared. My pulled pork tacos were unimpressive - just a few tablespoons of pork in a soft taco shell. Both of these were barely of “fast food” quality. The third person at our table ordered scallops. He was our guest and was reluctant to be negative in any way. My observation was that the 4 scallops were very small, under 2 cm each, and were dwarfed by the remainder of the plate.

On 30/08/2025 I had a reservation for this Outstanding Establishment for 7 pm for my parents and I. We were warmly welcomed by the host and then brought to our table by his colleague, Where we were met by our server who was an absolute wonderful guy. The Staff was kind & professional. The three of us started off with their special drink, it was recommended by our server it was great, I sensed smoky notes and the sweet meringue that was golden like a crisp marshmallow effect, we enjoyed it. Now to the remarkable cuisine, we ordered a total of 8 dishes, I had them divided them into two sets, 1st Set: Mushroom & Truffle Risotto, Romaine lettuce, Octopus Tempura, Flambeed Prawns. 2nd Set: Anchovy Toasts, Crispy Fried Chicken, Crispy Fries w/ Aioli, Tomato Salad. Let me tell you everything was spectacular, prepared to perfection by the Culinary team. Dessert was excellent. As a Culinarian/Foodie I Highly Recommend Come Na Gaveta! Tell them Charlie sent ya!

We eat here about once a month. The food is always great and it comes out pretty fast. But there are many new servers now and they are not as organized as the previous ones. We also had 7PM Reservations, which is when the restaurant opens. Apparently many people made reservations for 7 because everyone was standing outside in the heat on the sidewalk. Since the staff was already inside in would have made much more sense to invite people in and served drinks. If they don’t want you inside they should start reservations later.

The food at Come na Gaveta was actually quite tasty — we had the scallops, flambéed shrimp and pork strips with truffle purée, and all were well cooked and enjoyable. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to the way service is handled. Dinner is served at set times, so everyone enters at once and you’re called by name at the door, which felt more like a school roll call than a restaurant welcome. It then took 35 minutes to get our two cocktails, and we had to ask three times before someone finally brought us a bottle of water. When it did arrive, the server seemed visibly annoyed to pour it into our glasses. It’s a shame, because the kitchen does a good job, but the service setup and attitude left us with little desire to come back.
