Stunning venue. We were seated in the courtyard and it became even more stunning as day turned into night. The unique flavor combinations made for one of the best meals we’ve had in Portugal. Service was attentive, staff was having fun and smiling as if they truly enjoyed their profession. Highly recommend having dinner here.

We were seated at the inner circle of an open-air courtyard of an ancient moorish palace, which felt amazing. The service was kind, attentive and regular. We only regret not tasting some of the vegetarian indian dishes on the chef's menu - so probably it's not the traditional portuguese experience some are looking for.

3 course Valentines Day menu was a disaster from the word go. Cheap bottle of house red drank like box wine. Sluggish service. First course of shrimp with coconut cream had no coconut or cream and a few overcooked shrimp. Main course of unidentifiable battered fish (waiter called it butter fish but it ate like low end Tilapia) over mushy mango risotto - ugh. The meat course said veal filet — ate like old beef and was served mostly raw. Dessert was a scary looking red pimple like fondant with chocolate mousse inside. It was ok but too sweet. 300 Euro’s later (5 diners) and we felt ripped off. Avoid this tourist trap. No wonder the restaurant was empty. Our fault for sourcing last minute reserve for Valentine’s Day.

We visited for my wife’s birthday lunch some years after enjoying a stay in the hotel, the service was excellent, the food did not disappoint and the surroundings were perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and have no hesitation to recommend.

Food was good but not exceptional. Lovely restaurant. Good ambiance. To the local standard bit on the expensive side. The wine list was not so great, We expected that they would had a better wine selections, but this is only us, due to the fact we are wine lovers ????

The quality and variety of the food was amazing. The table and room setting and the overall environment was really nice too. The atmosphere at the disco was a little flat at times. The DJ played music that emptied the dance floor several times, I think he could have read his audience better! But overall we were very happy to have spent New Years Eve in this lovely restaurant in stunning surroundings. Thank you to all the staff.

Beautiful elegant restaurant. Just right for a special occasion. The starters were delicious and then My husband had ribs infused with apple. He Sid they were delicious. I had the entrecôte. Also very good.

Firstly, the restaurant setting is so beautiful, in a stunning, calm historic convent. We ate outside in the quadrangle and enjoyed really good food with more taste and variety than most Portuguese restaurants. The service was perfect, attentive and friendly. Loved the experience of eating here
