Food, price, service - everything was top notch.

I came here because a Japanese YouTuber recommended this place. The carbonara with truffle was absolutely delicious! I ordered a bit too much, but when I mentioned it, they kindly let me take the leftovers home with a smile. Thank you for the wonderful dinner and warm hospitality.

I and my wife were so satisfied this restaurant.Staffs were very kind and cheerful. Dishes were off course so excellent,especially Carbonara and Osso bucco were very delicious.

+1Very good Italian food for a reasonable price. We were surprised by the quality, because we expected something simple. Friendly and funny Indian waiter made our dinner complete. We made a new reservation to have dinner again!

Excellent food and service. Make a reservation ahead of time. We came in and were immediately seated. Our waiter was fantastic. Great recommendation on wine. The carbonara was tasty. Reasonably priced. My only wish was for my stomach to be bigger.

+7Everything about our experience was delightful. The food the service and the restaurant space itself. I cannot recommend Il Gallo Nero enough. I will come back to Rome just for their truffle carbonara!

Spaghetti with vongole (clams) were delicious, as from the best Italian tradition. The service was impeccable and professional. I will return for sure

We’ve dined here before and enjoyed our return visit! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. We’ll be back in Rome in two weeks and have already booked for that night!

In many ways, this is a classic Roman restaurant. They offer many common dishes, but there's something to be said about those dishes being prepared perfectly. Our appetizers were excellent. Our main courses were delicious. Our waiter was professional, friendly and quite engaging. We really enjoyed our lunch at Il Gallo Nero!

Unwelcoming, we are tourists. Everyone was given bread to start with apart from us. Was not told beforehand that one persons meal (seabas Would arrive 20 mins after the rest of ours. When the fish did arrive it was uncooked, quite obviously they rushed it out before time as we asked how much longer it would take due two the rest of us finishing our meal. No courtesy was even offered as an apology. Clearly they only care about the locals.
