9.5/10Very good Italian food for a reasonable price. We were surprised by the quality, because we expected something simple. Friendly and funny Indian waiter made our dinner complete. We made a new reservation to have dinner again!

10/10Excellent food and service. Make a reservation ahead of time. We came in and were immediately seated. Our waiter was fantastic. Great recommendation on wine. The carbonara was tasty. Reasonably priced. My only wish was for my stomach to be bigger.

10/10Everything about our experience was delightful. The food the service and the restaurant space itself. I cannot recommend Il Gallo Nero enough. I will come back to Rome just for their truffle carbonara!

10/10In many ways, this is a classic Roman restaurant. They offer many common dishes, but there's something to be said about those dishes being prepared perfectly. Our appetizers were excellent. Our main courses were delicious. Our waiter was professional, friendly and quite engaging. We really enjoyed our lunch at Il Gallo Nero!

2.5/10Unwelcoming, we are tourists. Everyone was given bread to start with apart from us. Was not told beforehand that one persons meal (seabas Would arrive 20 mins after the rest of ours. When the fish did arrive it was uncooked, quite obviously they rushed it out before time as we asked how much longer it would take due two the rest of us finishing our meal. No courtesy was even offered as an apology. Clearly they only care about the locals.

E' gestita da tre generazioni dalla stessa famiglia. CUCINA ROMANA - Il menù propone i piatti più tipici della gastronomia romana e italiana. Da provare sono in particolare gli ottimi piatti unici che, a un prezzo contenuto, permettono di assaggiare il meglio della cucina. Il più apprezzato è quello romanesco con carbonara, carciofi e saltimbocca.
