I had a really enjoyable experience at this restaurant. The pan con tomate was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside, with fresh tomato and just the right balance of flavor. Simple, but done extremely well.
The fried sevillanos were another highlight: crispy and flavorful without being oily at all. They were served with lime zest and lemon to squeeze on top, which added a fresh, citrusy touch.
I also tried the casserole of meatballs and vegetables. The dish was rich in flavor and very comforting, with well-seasoned vegetables and a tasty sauce. The only small downside was that the portion of meatballs could have been a bit more generous.
Overall, the price was very fair for the quality and taste of the food. I would definitely recommend this place for a satisfying meal.

Great food, all dishes made for sharing, not a place to go for individual choises of starter/main/dessert. Some challenges on language, but manageable in English. Nice place, great people and service.

We loved the food, and the service. It is one of the nicest places to sit outside. My daughter in law was there a year ago and told me it was her favorite restaurant. I loved it also !! The sangria and tapas were amazing.

La Xarnega has the potential to be better. The food is very good, but comes out uneven - I ordered what are basically two appetizers for dinner and they came out so far away from each other that one was done before the other came out. They were both good, however, the carpaccio was supposed to have arugula, but had baby greens instead and not very many. It’s a completely different flavor profile. Also, I like to mix my flavors and don’t enjoy eating only one thing at a time. The decor was once charming but it’s getting a little run down - the lights on the patio have almost as many burned out bulbs as lit ones, and one string was blinking which is very distracting at dinner, and the canopy is dingey. In typical Spanish style, the servers don’t hover which is wonderful, but it’s difficult to get their attention if you want something. The staff are very pleasant, but the owner needs to pay attention to aesthetics.
