4/10Ordered spaghetti with modules. More than half of modules did not have open shells. We could not eat them. When we showed the manager he became enraged and grabbed my plate. He refused to give me another order of the moules. I ordered the raviolis with butter. They were not cooked enough snd too much butter. We have eaten at this restaurant at least 20 times. We stay in the area. I don’t think I’d go back

10/10i was take here in the early 80's by my french fling while i was at the american college . it is the quintessential parisienne restaurant that serves delicious italian food and i never skip a visit when i'm in paris. i dream of living upstairs!

10/10Le Cherche Midi is always a highlight of my trip. It’s like visiting good friends and filling up on the most delicious food. This place is good for the soul. I will be back every time I visit Paris, at least once but probably more!!!

7/10Nice warm atmosphere could be romantic but with lots of children in the small dining room. Service was nice but rushed - we were in and out in 1 hr. Food was good. Not the best.

2.5/10We’ve always thought that the French don’t understand Italian food and Cherche-Midi is living proof. The ravioli were obviously mass produced, the watery, over abundant tasteless sugo came from a can. Chef Boyardee! The mortadella was okay and the elements of the antipasto were (again) mostly mass produced. I went because it was part of Piatto di Buon Ricordo whose restaurants are usually good to very very good. Cherche made me buy an overpriced “menu” and a mediocre glass of wine to get the plate when every other PdBR gives you the plate when you order the featured dish. And I must add that in the Age of Covid tables were placed one touching the next and people were literally shoulder to shoulder. The place is unbelievably popular despite the food and the ambiance but, as an Italian and a big foodie, I can only ask pour quoi? Pour quoi? Pour quoi?

6.5/10The host never bothered to check his on-line booking, so didn’t have our reservation. Nevertheless, they accommodated the two of us and seated us quickly but we did not feel welcomed. The arugula salad was fine, but the antipasto was boring. The spaghetti blanco e nero with clams was fantastic- really briney and not too much garlic. The risotto Milanese was delicious too; lots of saffron flavor and nicely al dente.

10/10An absolute Paris favourite. Food, ambiance, service : we fell in love with Le Cherche Midi 20 years ago and it never disappoints ! Only little comment : a wider selection of wines would be appreciated, but the House Wine is excellent
