We had a fantastic meal last night at Locanda ai Portici. Service was excellent and it is a beautiful restaurant! We had the king prawns and eggplant Parmesan starters. Risotto Amarone and Lasagna for entrees. Everything was delicious!

7.5/10Nice restaurant. We were sat upstairs. We had a waitress. She was not the best. Not the friendliest. But enjoyed our dinner. Had the local risotto. Good to try once. But not again.

10/10I had a memorable and lovely dinner at Locanda ai Portici. We appreciated the friendly service, pleasant surroundings that somehow felt both modern and traditional, and the food. The absolute highlight of the meal was the Risotto all'Amarone. This was beautiful, perfectly prepared, and extremely delicious. I would definitely come back to eat it again! The dessert, a cheese cake with caramel and pistachio creme was perhaps let down by the overly-generous layer of caramel, which dominated the other flavours. I think that with some tinkering with the proportions and crust, it could become a really excellent dessert, but it's not quite there yet. Overall, a strong recommend!

From the atmosphere it is a very nice place to eat even a very Italian one. However there is a high discrepancy in the cost and the taste of the food. While the first plates were really tasty the second weren’t - too cold, no appealing arrangement, no harmonized taste. Paired with a service that we had to treat to get service, we think there are better options around.

5/10We were a group of 8…service was indifferent. Food was very average and one main which was advertised as Duck ragout contained barely any duck … we did complain but nothing was done…,starters for some were served with mains for everyone else and the three who had starters then had to wait 30 minutes for their main…sone desserts were good but others very average… would not go back again.

we are really sorry for your review after you greeted us with great cordiality .. we are known for friendly service and we were absolutely so with you too unfortunately we slowed down the service at a time of greater affluence and the delay in the dishes was at most 15 minutes and certainly not 30 ... and finally we believe that if a dish is not liked it usually does not return to the kitchen perfectly clean .. the bigolo with duck precisely. the rest of the review is obviously tainted by your bad mood but we believe we could make you change your mind next time!

The service was fantastic and the guys have a lot of humour. Music was a little bit loud in the beginning for my 83 year old mother , but who cares ? No - seriously. All in all it was a very good night out and you see that a little away from the arena you get really good food for your money. When you are in Verona the Locanda au Poritici is the place to be. Thanks for an evening full of joy and the best Tiramisu I 'very ever had.

10/10Beautiful restaurant in a location away from the crowds. Really varied menu with lots of seafood options. The Octopus starter was amazing. The shared meat and cheese platter was enormous! Lovely range of local wines at reasonable prices. And we even had room for dessert. Easily the best meal we had in Verona.

10/10This restaurant was fantastic! First of all we sat outside and the ambiance is very cool, a stone path covered by stone arches. It is tucked away from the main areas and piazzas and seemed to be mostly locals. The service was excellent, our meals absolutely delicious, plentiful, and reasonable compared to many other places in Verona..

9.5/10The restaurant is really fancy and a bit on the pricey side. The location was lovely and the service was great but it's not somewhere you will find traditional food. The dishes were clearly more on the upscale side and designed especially for an upscale resturant.
