Mercado de la Reina does not disappoint. When I was on a businesstrip a couple of years ago our client took us here and I really liked the experience. When visiting Madrid for leisure going back made sense. We were so pleased that we went back the next evening. Friendly staff, great food (the prawn carpaccio is amazing and they serve the best Lomo Bajo (entrecote) I've had in years.). Home made fries and the Torrija dessert completed a great dinner. The Piña Colado cocktail was really good I'm told and the special The Fork deal (30 to 50% on food) was a fenomonal! We will be back.

Excellent local food. If you like to taste tipical dishes, profesionaly cooked the Mercado de la reina is the palace. Pay attention where you take a seat. In the basement and close to the window in winter months is quite cold.
