Fantastic experience at Myricae. It’s not easy to find restaurants with this level of gastronomy, and the presence of a chef with true “gastronomy voyager” spirit in the team really makes the difference. You immediately feel that there is vision, technique, and creativity behind every dish. The cuisine is refined yet rooted in the territory, with carefully balanced flavors and elegant presentations. Each course shows attention to detail, quality ingredients, and a clear culinary identity. Service is attentive and professional without being formal, and the overall atmosphere enhances the experience. They are clearly bringing this restaurant to another level. I truly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something special in Matera.

perfect food with the right amount of salt, local herb and oil. The chef knows how to cook and to run the place. Great wine list. Reasonable price for the quality of food. Must try lamb dish and raviolo dish. I will come back to Italy just to dine here.

Amazing. It is the only word I can accurately use to describe Myricae. Chef Domenico & his team were extremely welcoming and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed the 13 course degustation and were blown away by the presentation & quality of dishes which were all served at our table by Domenico which added a further personal touch to the experience. COULD NOT RECOMMEND MYRICAE ANY MORE HIGHLY, IT IS A MUST DO WHEN IN MATERA!

Simply excellent. From the greeting to the desert, we enjoyed every single moment. Not the kind of usual restaurant, atypical but great service and outstanding food (we took the menu with 13 servings). Absolutely stunning menu, a true gastronomical experience at an amazing price. The owner and head chef clearly cares about every dish, with a menu that beautifully blends local and international flavours. Everything was delicious, and I would 100% recommend it if you’re visiting the area and want something different from the classic orecchiette.
