Our first time in Trieste, here for 2 days before a cruise. Looked on line and found this restaurant and it had great reviews so we thought we’d take a chance. The staff were fantastic explaining the menu and the food and service was excellent can’t fault it to be fair. Booked out is what a restaurant should be and I was not surprised or disappointed. Compliments to the chef and staff for these two UK travellers.

We took advantage of the fantastic reviews of this establishment. The family throughly enjoyed the experience. The waiter explained all the dishes on the menu, especially those we weren’t familiar with. All done with charm and patience. The food was very good. Especially the sardines partini. I could have ordered a second serve. The desserts were unusual, plumb gnocci?, but it again was very very good. All in all and top night out. For a family from Australia, we were most impressed.

We were a group of four and not that knowledgeable about Slovenian dishes. Our waiter was exceptional as he explained the dishes to us in detail and he had a pleasant, fun personality. All of the dishes were delicious, from Goulash to Cevapici (small grilled meat specialty) and the stewed ribs. I ordered the pork ribs and they were outstanding. This is a casual, quaint restaurant and I would highly recommend it.

First class waiting staff who could not have been more helpful in introducing the menu to customers. Warm, friendly service. Excellent quality of food, wine and pleasant ambience. It was a good sign to see many local people eating here too. Of a 10 day trip, this meal has been the real highlight - I can highly recommend this to you.
