Excellent restaurant with friendly and attentive staff who made up for our lack of Italian by talking us through the menu in English and giving us insights into the various dishes, most of which are very much local Trieste cuisine. The goulash was fantastic and the plum gnocchi was an unexpected delight to end the meal. Highly recommended.

We visited twice while on a short break to Trieste. Our first visit was prompted by a recommendation from the owner of our accommodation as being nearby and open on Monday. We were very impressed with the welcoming staff who were happy to spend time explaining the menu to us and recommending particular dishes according to our tastes. My wife so loved the gnocchi with susine (a local speciality) that we booked dinner again 2 days later.

If in Trieste, this restaurant must be visited. Traditional Triestan dishes served with local beers, wines and digestifs are all very well prepared and very tasty! One visit was not enough as I couldn’t happily have chosen every dish on the menu. The staff were great. All friendly, all cool 😎, all knowledgeable about the produce. Even though the restaurant is in a prime spot, the prices were low. Surprisingly low👍 Places like this make Trieste so cool!
