The ceviche was incredible, especially the mango ice cream addition, which made it very special and unique. A bit on the pricey side, but that’s all Mexican places in Amsterdam I see lately, the staff was very kind and welcoming and friendly!

There are not too many Mexican restaurants around Amsterdam who actually serve authentic Mexican food, this is one of them. I was very pleased with the ambiance and the friendly service, I also enjoyed the food, based on classic Mexican cuisine with great attention to the presentation and a hint of creativity. Though I have to say that in a few dishes, the flavors and spices were very tamed down, for example the mole, maybe to accommodate the local tastes. However I was taken aback when realized our bill was over 120€ per person without even a bottle of wine. I like spending on good food and I love Mexican cuisine but at that price I am not sure I’ll come back. For that price I also think the service should be enhanced, it found it a bit too casual, for example I didn’t really like the staff always being interrupted by their headsets and microphones. It’s still a great restaurant but I’m not sure the price level is right. On the plus side they have excellent cocktails and a great guacamole that they prepare next to you, like in Mexico. They’re also expensive but that could be worth a short visit!

Me and my partner has been there since the place has been open only 2 weeks and went 3 times menu changes however it only gets better. Food and service is excellent. The scallop with flying fish roe and sea urchin, guacamole(had one in many places this one always one of the best), and the recent grilled sirloin tacos, and I have to thank the soup addition it’s great. Will always go back there. If anyone haven’t you should. Been recommending the place to a lot of friends. Anyway we love the place.

The food is flavourful and the service was genuine and heartfelt. They played great music also. I’m born and raised in Los Angeles, so great Mexican food is pretty impossible to find in the Netherlands. Best Mexican food in NL and almost the best I have had in Los Angeles too!

The food is incredibly delicious and flavorful, thanks to the fresh ingredients used. We especially enjoyed the freshly made guacamole and the accompanying sauces. The service staff were very professional and friendly, and I appreciated their detailed descriptions of each dish. It was also great that they spoke Spanish.

Me and my husband just spend a month in Oaxaca. We dined fine and street. Oaxaca is indeed a city with high standards . Oaxaca Amsterdam is not. You pay for the hard wood tables. You pay for the very kind staff. You pay and you pay.. no salsas and taco as a complimentary entry. Poor sized entrees and over ‘choclated’ mole. Half cold half warm. We never really judge but we payed 300,-€ for super over rated food. It was ok. But not wow’ we had some drinks but the cocktails didn’t remind us of Oaxaca. I wish the restaurant well but it’s not to the costumer to pay for the interior when your dishes are to small and completely overrated. A guagemole for two persons at 18,00 € a person and only available if you not order for two? Roughfly 37,00€ ??? Really? We skipped that order. We are lovers of Mexican food . This was reasonable food for absurd prices. I just lost a quarter of a ticket to Mexico. I don’t think a customer should pay for the interior. Be more welcome. Put salsas and small tacos when you come in. We would love a great Mex restaurant but this place … sorry . I like to eat food. Not the interior ( not even Oaxacan ) I know there’s a price for ambiance but here I felt fooled. Very sorry to have spend so much corso little. The staff was trying hard and I wish them the best…

This is one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Unique menu with delicious flavors. Everything was presented with flair and we were able to savor each course. We ended up ordering too much food for two people, but we loved every bite. For 2 people I would recommend the guacamole, one starter, and one main. I am so glad we were able to reserve a table.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had! I have spent time in the real Oaxaca in Mexico and this restaurant was better than most meals I had there — without losing any authenticity. The red chiviche he and the soft shell crab tacos were sublime!!
