Fun place to have sushi in Amsterdam

I recently visited Zushi in Amsterdam, and while I ended up having a pleasant experience, I would recommend understanding the restaurant’s setup before planning your visit. I had booked it for a formal business meeting, which turned out to be my mistake — Zushi is not a formal dining venue. The seating is high chairs around a central counter, with dishes arriving on a small conveyor belt. It’s a very informal, lively, and casual Japanese dining style, so definitely check pictures in advance if you’re expecting a sit-down, traditional table setting. That said, the staff was outstanding. A very courteous lady (I wish I had asked her name) went out of her way to make us feel comfortable despite the mismatch in expectations. Her warmth and hospitality really stood out and made a big difference. The food was decent with a wide variety of sushi and other Japanese dishes rotating on the belt. It’s not fine dining, but it’s enjoyable and good for casual meals. Overall, a good experience.

I really appreciate the fact that the sushi is not topped with a bucket of mayo. I wish the avocado maki was also just avocado without mayo.

Roll-bar for the food is good but sushi ingridients should be explained more detailed. Menu is too complicated to understand. It should be more easy to understand what is in the coloured plates

We always enjoy eating here. Have been coming for years..

The food was good. The restaurant was clean. I ddn’t realize it was just a sushi train. There is no other dining service but counter service. Priced high for location and offering.

average quality sushi, but one and the only sushi conveyor format in Amsterdam center, overall a nice experience.

The apple gyoza desert was fantastic. The rest of the food was enjoyable, but could definitely benefit from more fresh ingredients.

We like this place for a quick bite. The people who work there are very nice and helpful including the sushi chef even when it is very busy. We've learned how to order after a few visits so then it isn't too expensive. But if you are seduced and a big eater your bill will reflect this. Granted, it isn't Okura but the fish is fresh and there's enough variety including hot dishes. .

Price/ quality clearly disappointing. Has become way too expensive for the quality they offer. Product offering not impressive either. Too much basic stuff which in itself is fine if the food would be good.

The cozy conveyer belt sushi style makes this a pleasant experience, on top of that, its among the best sushi I've eaten.

Really nice choice of warm dishes and sushi. The price gets high very quickly though! In the end we paid 50 euros a person for having eaten just enough.

The restaurant has a very bad sound level, bad acustic. Not so much variation in the Sushi, most of is was somehow filled with creamcheese. And all pieces was a kind of roll

Incredible spot, very cozy. The staff were attentive, food was very fresh, and the concept is very neat!
