Disappointing Experience at a Venice Restaurant – Limited Menu & Poor Service We visited this restaurant in Venice based on a recommendation from TheFork as part of their festival. It was a special occasion for us, and we were looking forward to celebrating with a great meal. However, the experience turned out to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were told that we could not order from the regular menu and were instead given a highly limited selection—just four appetizers and four main courses. This was a major letdown, as we had specific dishes in mind. We wanted to enjoy authentic Italian pizza, but it wasn’t available to us. We wanted to have tuna tartare, but that was also not an option. All our initial choices, which we had looked forward to, were denied by the waiter, who strictly limited us to the festival menu. What was meant to be a joyful celebration ended in frustration and disappointment. Instead of a proper dining experience, we felt restricted and unsatisfied.

We arrives earlier because it takes a lot of time to find the restaurants in Venice… everybody gets lost. The owner rushed to refuse to respect the discount. After explaining why we were early, health issues, new hip and afraid of falling in the rain, plus that we did not see the issue because only one couple present, he finally accepted. We were sitting in the window and I made signs three different times to couples that it was very good, just to show the owner I was glad he accepted my discount. However when the bill came, he had only two amounts to add, the food and the wine, one at 28 and one at 16,80…. Not hard, well sure enough he made an error to HIS advantage…. We did not see it on the spot, we were talking to his served when he handed us the credit machine. It’s only when we were back at the hotel that we noticed his error… We told him we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. Thanks for your appreciation of me having some people come in, Sir… you made our night.

The food was absolutely wonderful. The service was so friendly and inviting. This gem is tucked away from all the busy alleys and we enjoyed the relaxing experience with such an incredible meal.

Very slow service. Carpaccio was wet and did not taste at all...probably frozen meat. Mixed salad was very bad compated for other places...lots of stuff, but very Basic. Fried vegetables were burned...could not eat. Tuna was from ice, not fresh. 50% discount, but still not worth the money...never again.
