The staff, I absolutely wonderful, every time we’ve been to this little restaurant we’ve always been made to feel very special and welcome. The menu has a very good selection and what we’ve managed to choose each time has been absolutely wonderful.

the place has a calm and cosy, yet spacious atmosphere. The waiters are attentive and approachable and the public is Portuguese. The prices are fair (also for the wine) for the level of food offered. The starters are very innovative and delicious. The main dishes are more traditional: great ingredients, very good and fine execution.

Despite the place being quite full, the staff provided exceptional service that made our visit truly enjoyable. As someone who does not eat gluten, I was impressed by the attentiveness of the staff. They consistently checked with the kitchen to ensure that every dish we ordered was safe for me, which made me feel valued and cared for. To start, we ordered the Shrimps and Tuna Tartare. Both dishes were flavorful. For our main courses, we indulged in the Piglet Belly and the Codfish. The portions were generous and well worth it! For dessert, we couldn't resist trying the Chocolate Soufflé, which was a rich chocolate fondant, and the Egg White Clouds, a traditional Portuguese dessert known as Farófias. Both were absolutely delightful and the perfect end to our meal.

We was waiting 50 minutes to receive menu, despite the fact that we have arrived very first to the restaurant. When we have ordered food, people after us already ordered desserts. The booking is for 2h 30 m because everything is very slow. This place attracts mostly elderly people.

Nice space, completely full on a Wednesday yet not claustrophobic or noisy, Chairs are comfortable and there is a nice space between tables. Lightning is fine too, and ambient music is not bad and never disturbing. Excellent service. The (glass of) House wine from Douro or the ongoing wine recommendation from Alentejo are fine and so are the prices compared to similar places. We reserved with the Fork on a 30% discount, and the price/quality ratio is then very good, in our opinion. The food is very nice - we shared one portion fish (peixo galo, excellent) and meat (magret de pato, excellent). We had great expectations regarding the rice served together with the fish, as it should contain "poejo", something we are crazy about, but we could not tast it, unfortunately. In summary, definitely worth returning. This was, by the way, the case of several customers who are obviously regular clients.
