10/10Food, service and wine list were fabulous! We had sea bass carpaccio, tuna tartare, pasta with langoustines, pasta with sea urchin, scallops and salads - all fabulous! Loved the list of champagne (2 pages) and Italian sparkling wine (3 pages)!

4.5/10Dear reader, This was to be a very special evening for us a table of two at The Pescheria Restaurant in Salerno, Italy! We are both food lovers with restaurant backgrounds and service and food quality taste and ambiance are important to our dinning experience. Firstly, we felt the impact of the very systematic service. All be it important, it was continuous and almost to a point of annoyance! Our starters Tartare of salmon and Tuna were very bland and lacked flavour or flare of Michelin star restaurant. The service of persistence of clearing plates before the other had finished felt like everything was being rushed although mid service in an evening. I was so looking forward to the Linguine seafood and my partner his pasta. Both dishes were heavily salted and lacked authentic seafood flavours. Tasted like the seafood was an add-on instead of flavoured with the cooking juices. We didn’t mention this till we were almost finished! We got a poor response. Not what we had expected!

10/10the food was amazing. the chef wanting to fight me over asking for additional truffle only added to the experience. 11/10 would do 5 more rounds in the octagon for extra truffle

9.5/10After much research, I reserved this restaurant for my husband and I’s wedding anniversary for our vacation to Italy. We were seated promptly and given menus. The menu included many choices, and everything sounded delicious, but my husband chose the truffle pasta while I chose the spaghetti with clams. Both were delicious, but I must say I enjoyed my husbands pasta more as the spaghetti with clams was a little too salty for my taste. Regardless, I finished the food, and my husband and I agreed it was probably the best pasta we ever had in our life. The waiter also helped us pick a glass of wine to accompany our meal. I will say that service is slower than what I am used to, but to my understanding this is extremely common in Italy where meals are meant to be enjoyed for hours rather than a quick bite. Overall an amazing restaurant with solid choices. A little on the pricey side but the ambiance makes up for it.
