The ingredient options for the rolls and nigiri were rather limited but both were quite tasty and had a nice presentation. The udon was absolutely atrocious though: poor-quality noodles (lacking glutinous rice) bathed in something like sweet and sour sauce from a bottle. The staff were exceedingly kind and welcoming, but the restaurant smelled like wet, dirty rags.

We came for the food. We are an Indonesian muslim family living in Lyon, and we've been dying to eat sushi our whole time in Lyon, because most sushi stores are not Halal. A local friend suggested Petit Osaka, and we found that the taste of the food really reminded us of home. We love the food, ambience, and the staff were all amazing and friendly. A little effort on language, but otherwise it is a top-notch!

Service was friendly but the sushi rolls were too large to eat and had way too much rice. We had to take them apart to be able to eat anything.

Food was good. Only 1 waitress for the entire restaurant is too little, for which the service was very slow (not her fault, restaurant was full and she was alone). Menu is confusing if you don’t know French (no English translation available)… but in general terms it has a good ambience and food was tasty.

Great sushi restaurants with some warm dishes options. We were 6 of us and were greatly greeted by the staff and taken care of during our meal. This restaurant is perfect for a date or a group dinner. The food is delicious and the prices are correct. I’ll definitely go back!

It’s a nice and cozy place with welcoming and polite staff, we enjoyed our food and atmosphere. One thing I personally missed is menu with pictures, as I don’t speak French and it was time consuming to understand what we want to order.

Not a place i would recommend but mainly due to the waiting time (1h10) with a restaurant loaded at less than 40%. The people are not aware at all about gluten free… thinking the rice cannot be consumed and they were as well not having any gluten free Soja sauce…we are in 2022…

My family and I had an outstanding experience today at Petit Osaka. The sushi was amazing and the chef/owner went out of his way to please us. The restaurant has a very nice yet cozy ambiance. It will be memorable.

The food is amazing, the best sushi and poke bowl I’ve ever eaten. The waitress are super kind, cheerful and smiling. 10/10 and I will recommend the restaurant to many friends! ????
