The owners were fantastic, the ambience was good and the food was really good.. We wanted to try typical Dutch food and we weren’t disappointed… The wine was good, the shrimp main coarse was lovely and the advocat pudding was really good

The owner/chef greeted us and explained the concept of the restaurant in an authentic Dutch living room. He told us about the menu and how he uses his grandmother’s recipes to provide an authentic Dutch dining experience. He recommended the creamy seafood stew. It was so wonderful and the portion was very generous. We completed our meal with apple and cherry pie. A delightful experience.

The food was incredible, the staff were so friendly. It was like being in someone's front room chatting amongst ourselves. The chef Robert was so personable and went out of his way to make his customers feel welcome. Just a lovely atmosphere and a little gem in Haarlem.

We instantly felt very welcome, the atmosphere is cosy and warm and it almost feels like you’re invited into someone’s home. It was our first time and the owner Roberto (I hope I got the name right) is an amazing and charming host who makes every wish possible with a smile. The food was excellent!! We had the stew and the chicken which were both really tasty. Special mention for the red cabage. (Rotkohl). The warm aple pie in the end was the best way to finish off this great diner. We definitely recommend and would definitely go back when in town again.

A very cosy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Our main courses, beef stew and meatballs, were both delicious. The service was very warm and friendly without being intrusive. Worth a visit for lovely Dutch food!
