6.5/10Overall it was good. The bread was served without plates nor oil/butter/vinegar…anything. The mussels were very good. The carbonara was ok. It lacked the deep pork flavor of guancale that makes the dish. The catch of the day was swordfish. It was prepared simply, but perfectly. The fowl was mediocre at best. Dry breast meat always provides a startling chill to a meal. Luckily they had a strong bottle of vino to pull us through. Honestly I expect a lot more from a €170+ meal. A few notes…they charge €4 each to sit, 20% to share, must order 2 courses each (12 item menu), extra bread is €2.50.

Mr. Allen, Thanks for the time you spent reviewing us. Nowhere is written Italian restaurants serve butter or oil and we do not do it unless required and you did not. We know in some Guides is suggested to ask for it but it's not Italian style do it. We do not charge 20% on your bill, check it please. Is it written on the menu because we noticed lot of people booking for dinner, coming and asking one plate in 2 and that’s all because they are not hungry. As you saw, we have 10 tables and we must optimize every single order. You paid 170 but you ordered a bottle of Amarone which itself is half of your bill. Regarding the food, Guinea fowl breast was served with potato sauce, gravy sauce and cauliflower. If you expected cream sourrounding the meat, again, not Italian cuisine. Maybe American or French.

10/10This restaurant restored my faith in Italian cooking. Venice is awash in tourist traps serving the same boring dishes of low quality and lack of passion. This chef and his staff clearly take tremendous pride in pushing the envelope while still respecting traditions. The value you get here is amazing, I would have gladly paid double what they charged. The only downside is that I found this hidden gem in my last night in Venice, otherwise I would have dined here every night. As a chef myself I'm very critical when I dine out, there wasn't a single thing about this restaurant I could criticize. It was truly fantastic!

10/10The cooking was genuinely exceptional. One of the best meals I have eaten. The starter of veal cooked sous vide with delicate tuna sauce and generous garnish of sliced fresh truffle was really brilliant.

10/10Eat here 9 months ago and it was fabulous. When we decided to return to Venice for two nights, it was the first place we wanted to go on our return. It did not disappoint. Beautiful inside. Delicious food. And the people are so nice and welcoming. If I return again, I will go Bach to Regina Sconta!

10/10This restaurant was recommended by a guide who took us on a street food tour and we are so pleased that we followed his advice. In fact we went twice over our 4 day trip. We had the risotto to share which was superb (best ever according to my husband) and I also thought the guinea fowl delicious. The second time we had the truffle Parmesan pasta despite my attempts to have a carb free diet and it was well worth it. Overall the service is delightful, it’s off the main tourist drag and a very stylish and comfortable place to spend time. Cost wise it feels like very good value compared with some of the more ordinary restaurants and their prices. Do go, the young couple running it need your custom and support!

10/10The food was so flavorful and colorful. The service was quick, the ambiance was romantic, and we enjoyed our time there so much we did not want to leave. Highly recommend if you want a small, intimate and romantic setting.

8.5/10Food was good. We started with the octopus then I got the anglotti and my husband got the fried seafood dish. My dishes both could have used some salt. Server was minima, and unfriendly yet efficient. Romantic setting and cool building but very hot inside. No soap in bathroom at either sink.

Thanks for the review. Answering to your points, I'm sorry you found our service not enough warm to your standards. Regarding dishes flavours, if you needed some salt, you could just ask for it. Soap and paper towels ARE below the mirror in bathroom. If you didn't find it, you could kindly ask to the staff. Best regards

10/10We started off with the large cheese plate which had a great selection of cheeses and was delicious. Then we had the risotto and the spider crab pasta. Both were so delicious but my favorite was the risotto. I would definitely recommend getting a table here!
