We are an expat couple from the US and Germany that just moved back to Rome after being away from Italy for 8 years. Giustiniana is our new neighborhood and we had walked by Retro these past few months, eventually looking them up online and reading rave reviews of the food and atmosphere. We finally had a chance to visit last evening and it was so unique. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and he felt like the meal was extra special. We loved the Terra Tasting Menu with all the love and care each dish was made with. The ingredients were top-notch and the the servers were incredibly friendly. We will definitely come back, especially for special occasions and date nights. Thank you. -Complimenti al cuoco!

"Exceptional dining experience! Friendly, curious, and attentive staff. Great atmosphere with live music. Best restaurant experience in Europe, surpassing others in 4 countries visited. Staff's energy and knowledge, plus interactive musician, made it unforgettable!"
