My wife and I stayed in Sorrento for a few days and in Ischia for a few days. Dinner here was the best meal we had on our trip. View is great, I wish it were warmer so we could have sat outside to fully enjoy it. Service was excellent, with the staff seeming to warm up to us and get better and better over the course of our dinner. I am no expert with Italian wines so I described what I am looking for, and the waiter helped me select one that was exactly what I wanted. We both got the 6 course tasting menu for 95€. The food was really spectacular. Tuna tartare was served with unique garnishes and a tomato sorbet which made the dish special. Next was an eggplant dish, and as someone who generally doesn’t like eggplant, I loved it. I’m starting to run low on characters but long story short every single course impressed us. They brought us a bonus pre-dessert and post-dessert as well as a tasty sweet liqueur that I can’t remember the name of. Courses were spaced well. Amazing. Thank you.

It might have been the best restaurant I've tasted for a long time ! The taste of every amuse-bouche was impeccable and the meals and desserts were top notch ! The service, the view over the bay and the castle and most of all the "ambiance" of this place are just magical ! It was our last night in Italy and it couldn't have been better ! Thank you a lot !

Beautiful evening with a beautiful meal! This is one of those nights we will remember for a very long time. Impeccable service and unbelievably delicious food. Don’t come here if you prefer the ordinary—this is truly extraordinary!

This restaurant is spectacular! Chef Enzo & Otto, the maitre de, are simply the best. We go to fine dining restaurants often & this place surpassed all our expectations. The service was impeccable. The food was gourmet & delicious. The views & ambiance are top notch. Absolutely everything about this place was perfect!

Ristorante Aragonese is a precious pearl on Ischia Island. The location is absolutely stunning (and very Instagram-friendly!), nonetheless the food is so tasty and the service was excellent: everything was explained and you can literally feel the staff was ready and professional. Additionally, yesterday was my mom’s birthday and the staff was amazing on collaboration to give to my mom the best surprise ever!

The Aragonese restaurant is physically beautiful with rooftop views of the Aragonese Castle lit at night and amazing sea views. The food is superb because it is different than the traditional Italian cuisine that you can get anywhere - it’s a gourmet experience beautifully presented with a different handcrafted ceramic plates and platters and bowls with each course. The chef’s take great pride in the food and presentation- and the food and wine selection are fabulous! The service is flawless and friendly at the same time. All of the wait staff take great care of each and every customer. We ate at the Ristorante Aragonese last year and Otto (head waiter) remembered us and made us feel so welcomed back - that is remarkable to remember us from one year ago ! Otto makes sure that your dining experience is unforgettable and he is top notch !! Try Ristorante Aragonese - you will not be disappointed. We will be returning soon ! Happy enough to have tried it. Bit underwhelming. We were left hanging once we exited the elevator into the restaurant - took a couple of minutes for staff to register us being there. Excellent starter of gamberi with an almond crust. Presentation of all food was good. Flavours in other dishes we had were a bit bland and subtle - tonno dish in particular. Nice local white wine recommendation, although heavy on the mark-up. I'm sure it's a great spot and view in the summer, with a view across to the Castello. I don't want to sound mean - it just could have been better! Thanks

The bad: they charged an exorbitant price for the fish that is seemingly on the menu, but in truth it is not. Nowhere on the menu do they indicate the price of whole fish or the price/kg, and the waiter did not mention the exorbitant price of the fish. The menu had catch of the day as a different price, but for portions rather than the whole fish. The ambiance is a hotel restaurant. Also their reviews claim that the restaurant is creative. The only creative dish we had was coffee pasta with shrimp. Not good. Generally everything was overpriced. When we checked out they didn’t show us the bill. (!). Only once I requested it did they provide it. Only people who are screwing you over would do that! The good: the upstairs terrace is truly lovely. The amuse bouche and final touch of semi-dessert were excellent and our favorite dishes.
