I'd skipped breakfast as I looked forward to an early lunch. My steak was expertly prepared and tasty as one would expect. Very nice frites . I tried two different reds by the glass, both well priced and delicious.

Very 'old school' in that the service is unsmiling and when one of my guests asked for her steak to be well cooked, she was told there was no choice - it would be medium rare (fine for me but a little too bloody for her).

It was my third visit to Le Severo but my first in over a decade. Monsieur Bernet was there holding court from his table in the corner. The food and service was just what I remembered. If you like perfectly prepared meat and fine wine, this is the place. Bon appetit!!

Very tiny place, with a local feeling, a bit out of the way in a residential area. Exceptional quality of meat and wines. The owner can be a bit moody but tends to warm up as you spend more money. You generally end up speaking to the diners next to you making the ambience great, It feels like an a place for "insiders". Truly a gem!

The food is good, but the place is in a desperate need of a proper spring clean. Very weird vibe, completely different than the one captured in one of the episodes of „C’est meilleur comme c’est bon”. It’s a small restaurant with only 10ish tables squeezed together. One might call it quaint and intimate. If that’s not your thing, don’t go.

I have been to Paris many times in my life, and I have had just about every kind of meat dish you can imagine. I have never had anything as good as the entree (pork belly) and plat (tartare) than I ate at Le Severo. I plan on going back before this trip is over -- and am seriously thinking of ordering three of the pork belly entrees to equal one main dish. It was that good.

I really wanted to like Severo. It has a very simple, small and cozy atmosphere… but the lack of any attention to food presentation, lack of use of ingredients to enhance the flavor of the prime ingredients, and copious amounts of raw, flavorless meat just didn’t add up to a positive experience. The wine was good and the service was friendly… but I don’t think I’ll be going back. Regrets.
