From start to finish we were made to feel welcome. A special mention to Tony who was able to translate for us. Food was fantastic, reasonable prices and first class service. we loved it so much we have booked for tonight.

Very nice ‘find’. A step up from most of the Restaurants we had previously tried on our tour of Italy. A little way out from the centre of Firenze but well worth going. Food was excellent and service too. In a relatively quiet street with the opportunity to dine outside,outside under cover or inside. Host was charming and the Waitress very friendly. Our ability to speak little or no Italian was of no issue as they provided us help with understanding the menu.

the service was very good. the outdoor seating was lovely. my pasta dish special (stuffed with pumpkin filling) was quite good. BUT, the one thing that changed the experience from excellent to subpar was the grilled chicken dish. the pieces of chicken were odd, seemed processed with the dark and white meat pressed together. that probably would have been okay, but the overwhelming flavor was that of anchovy. the chicken was drenched in an oily sauce that had pieces of anchovy in it. there was no fragrance of chicken or anything other than anchovy. now, had i known that this dish, which should have been called anchovy-flavored chicken, was so fishy i would not have ordered it. on the menu all of the ingredients were listed properly, with one exception: not a mention of anchovies. we asked the waiter who asked the manager. they said “oh, yes, it is supposed to have the anchovies.” my italian friends were scandalized by the idea afterwards. no compensation was offered, though not much chicken was consumed. it wrecked an otherwise nice dining experience. ????
