I waa in Florence just for a night . Decided to try Ararat restaurant as the reviews were excellent. I truly enjoyed my visit. The food was delicious, freshly prepared and cooked hence it takes may be slightly more time than some restaurants where everything is prepared and frozen in advance. I ve seen reviews that the waiting tome is long but you are waiting for a quality freshly cooked meal. It does take time. Never mind the best wine that you can ever taste. The fact that I saw all different nationalities dining there included Italians, is saying a lot . I know that winter time they have pretty much full upstairs and downstairs and mainly Italians. Says a lot . Thank you. Will visit again when I am next in Florence

Extremely slow service. I waited for 1.5 hour for a simple grill dish - despite the fact that the menu was very limited, just 5-6 dishes to choose from for the main course.

Traditional Armenian food, prepared with quality ingredients and care. Some of the best food we ate in Florence. If you want something different from Traditional Italian food, Ararat is a perfect choice.

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the slow service. The waitress was lovely and very kind, it’s not her fault if they were under staffed. Nevertheless I think that in a restaurant like that you cannot wait more than half an hour to have a bottle of water. Also, I would suggest they bring not only water immediately but also some bread since people have to wait a long time to eat.

The food was creative, delicious and extremely well presented. Lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans, with the available language translation, images and filtering on the online menu page making ordering easy. Service was efficient and friendly. Decor and ambience relaxing and appropriate to the cuisine. Highly recommended.
