We had a nice dinner, the food is nothing surprising. I would say the menu needs some more flavour, however the ambience was good and so the service. I also recommend the cocktails. thank you!

After a workshop on the Van Woustraat, we ended the evening at Yen, and it turned out to be the perfect way to close the day. The staff was attentive and genuinely helpful, steering us toward some of the better and popular dishes on the menu. The Bun Cha was the undisputed star of the night, tasting as it came straight out of Hanoi. The fresh spring rolls and wings made for great appetizers, and while the curry ribs felt a little heavy for our taste, but that's personal preference. The food overall was balanced, fresh, and very savoury. Before we left, we ordered another portion of the Bun Cha and fresh prawn spring rolls to take home. It was simply too good to walk away from. Ten minutes later, we were on our way, takeaway bag in hand, along with handwritten notes on how to prepare everything the next day. That small gesture said more about this place than anything else. We knew lunch the next day was going to be good :)

Slow service. It took 10 min to let me know that the dish I ordered was not available. Then 30min to prepare the new one.

Good food, friendly but slow service, drinks and food came one by one with quite some time distance, so everyone ended up drinking and eating alone more or less. Half of the dishes on the menu were not available. BUT: the food that was available was good.

Crispy tofu cubes and crispy fish sauce wings were great starters with a dry Riesling wine. Duck main was good but could have been spicier for me. Lychee and almond Pannacotta dessert.

Think I've stumbled upon a hidden gem as it was one of the best Vietnamese foods I've had in a while... The dish with roasted pork belly and meat patty in garlic-y dipping sauce for the rice noodles was so well balanced with tartness, umami and hint of sweetness. The chicken wings in fish sauce caramel were one of the best wings I've had as well. So crispy and well-balanced. And glad I also tried the desserts. Vietnamese almond panna cotta to round off a lovely dinner. The service was also great - so chill and thoughtful! Lastly, the pictures don't do the food justice honestly!
