8/10We have eaten at Al Dente several times. It is usually one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Neither my husband nor I speak much French, and ordering from the menu has never been a problem in the past because whoever is taking our order gives us a little help. But last night, while making it known that we wanted the truffle pizza and also the chicken,(both the featured entrees of the day), we were served with two truffle pizzas. After explaining that we only ordered one and the chicken was the other, my pizza was taken away and I was left without a dish while my husband almost finished his food before mine arrived. Ok, I understand. Communication breakdown, but it spoiled the meal for us. We did our best not to blame anyone, but hey! leaving two people to almost eat separately is not good. However,the food, although arriving at two different times, was very good.

8/10Al Dente serves delicious food. We have visited several times over the years and have never been disappointed. The restaurant space is small and often crowded with late evening diners, which can result with service being slow. I would recommend making a reservation. That being said, what you are really going for is good food, and they definitely come out on top in this category.
