We wanted to find a good fish restaurant in Paris and Gaya fit the bill. We started with a glass of champagne. After the amuse bouche, we had the large crab appetizer and the red tuna tartare. Both were very good: the red tuna tartare was light but filling and the crab was mixed with mayonnaise, and still good. We split the sole meuniere and ordered a side of the girolles (mushrooms) with almonds. This was excellent. We told the waiter that my wife was lactose intolerant and he held his hand on his stomach and said "Me too." Then, when they brought the mushrooms, they split it into two plates: one for me, with the cheese, and one for my wife, without it. Very considerate! The sole came with a caulflower / buckwheat mixture, in a bowl, somewhat thick and very tasty. I had a glass of a white wine from the Cote de Provence. I read the wine list and they have a good selection of champagnes, wines from the Loire and Burgundy (Tortochot, Domaine de Perdrix, Chateau de Chamirey, etc.) The interior is quite comfortable - a calming dark green, with a set of posts for a divider between the different sections of the restaurant - and a beautiful and modern glass-enclosed wine cellar. There are windows to the street along one side. Most of all, the waiters were very friendly and seemed to genuinely get along, the service was both attentive and casual at the same time. We are often in Paris and have put this restaurant on our list of places to return to.

Overall, the food is good, but the dessert is unremarkable compare to other dishes. The service is very disappointing. The waiters never refill the glass even it’s empty for a long time. Our wine isn’t refill as well until we ask them to do so eventually. And no more refills after that until the end of the dinner. However, the service on other tables, who are Europeans, were excellent. Moreover, the waitress who wears a pair of glasses shouted at one of us just because he pick up the cover by himself. This dinning experience is the worst we had ever have from any French restaurants. The only star is offer to the security guard at the front door who is being passionate.

Delicious food and beautifully presented and served. Nothing over overly nor undersalted and the service was discreet and not wordy- no lengthy explanations of each dish so we could talk uninterrupted. The wine by the glass list was short but well chosen and all 3 courses were served at a gentl pace. Loved it

If you are in Paris and you want the best food and the best service…….💪🏻👍🏻Go to Gaya!!Get the metro, get a taxi , walk!!!! but just GO!!!!I hope that this review , help you avoid a snubbish 3 michelin star rest. 😎

lovely meal; ambiance, service, terrific flavours, excellent cheese selection, spot on all round. their bar sauvage was simple perfection; so tough to execute that well. Thoughtful wine list. Clearly a place on top of its game. A truly enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Perhaps the food was excellent but this foodie amateur was unable to appreciate it properly. The staff are very attentive, interior is very welcoming and comfortable, and dish presentation is perfect. But the food itself seemed more about presentation -- and a little bit of pretense -- than taste. As I said, perhaps I failed to recognize the genius, but I have visited a few Michelin-starred restaurants in the last month or so, both in Paris and London, and this is the first where I only enjoyed the bread and dessert.

The food was impeccable. We ordered the cockles mariniere, and tuna tartare which were excellent. Then two of use split the sole and the other ordered the John Dory. Both were full of flavor, brightness, and freshness. The lemon mousseline recommended by our waiter was the perfect palate cleanser to finish our meal. The sommelier suggested a wine we’d never had and it paired so well with our dishes. The staff treated us with warmth and cheerfulness from the time we step onto the front curb until we climbed back into the taxi. Thank you very much for a wonderful evening.
