7.5/10An interesting little place with a very friendly and welcoming waiter. Food quite inventive but way too expensive.

10/10This unique small restaurant was a great experience. I was alone but it would be a great place to share small plates and try a variety of special flavors. Staff was great at describing the food to someone struggling to choose!

4.5/10I would never come back. Good quality food but way too expensive for what you get. 3 “dishes to share” and 2 glass of wine for 88€. Very long waiting time. I do not recommend it.

9.5/10Visited Boi-Cavalo for the first time, recommended by some friends. And a good decision it was! Very special cuisine, sharing options are the model, small quantity on each choice lets us taste a whole lot of delicious variety! All excellent options! Its a cosy place, with very friendly staff. Not the cheapest option to dine out but you will definitely come out very pleased with the experience!

9/10The menu is so creative and every dish is a surprise and beyond our imagination. The pairing of the iberian pork chop and caviar and creme just exemplifies our amazing experience at this restaurant. Our waiter that night is also knowledgeable and suggest a good light white wine for us.

9.5/10There wasn’t one single thing I tried that I did not like, but I would have to say the gnocchi with vanilla were my favorite. High quality, very inventive cuisine! The only thing I would say is that certain dishes are very small portions for the price… I ordered more dishes than their suggestions because otherwise I would be hungry.

9/10Very original concept, laid back yet professional and very kind service and above all the quality of the food (yet pricey) is outstanding in flavours, combinations and the superior presentation quality. The wine list is short but very caed for and original, why have to stock a fortune in 100 wines as many do if 20 really well chosen ones are more than enough ? It is a pity there are no portuguese clients just a few tourists, perhaps because the location is hard and the reestaurant´s marketing is too low key. But this may make it even more alluring, I find it one of the best restaurants in Lisbon

10/10Masterclass in flavor and texture. Have eaten at a lot of Michelin starred restaurants these guys can cook circles around. Don’t expect a team of waiters dropping dishes in unison, but who cares when you’re getting dishes that are this innovative yet still perfectly balanced.

10/10This is a really good restaurant. A short menu of small (actually mid-sized) plates. The excellent waiter advised us as to how much to order. We started with the homemade corn bread and pickles - teriffic. Then a boned mackerel with recado negro - beautifully done. Next some extraordinary "gnocchi" made with choux pastry in a vanilla broth, with a tuna powder, really unusual and good. Next rice with rose and chorizo, again unusual and brilliant. We drank a bottle of very good wine, Monociclo Aragones, a great and very reasonably priced recommendation from the waiter. Out of sheer greed I then ordered a lamb tartare on a deep fried friiter, Great again, while my partner had a creme brulee infused with olive oil and basil - also really good. It's a nice room buzzing but not too loud. 120 euros for loads of food and drinks for two. Thoroughly recommended. Booking essential.

8.5/10Service was great, good food and good wine recommendation. A small menu but that was actually nice as you can share the dishes. Absolutely a must try: pork cheeks!

9.5/10A very inconspicuous restaurant serving delectable food. Casual yet intricate. The monkfish on Tuscan kale was stellar but the real star of my dinner was the clams in green curry and foie gras. Who knew foie and clams go well together?! The wine list could use more options by the glass but the food is amazing! Definitely recommended.

9/10Not sure what I was expecting, but its a hidden gem. I almost missed it walking past, but glad we found it. Small menu, fresh seasonal food, massively creative, tastes were excellent. The place is basic (don't dress up) and small (maybe 20 covers). Food presentation was good, but the taste was excellent. I also discovered an excellent Pinot Noir from Portugal (Atlantico). Go there with an open mind and a desire to try something different. Loved the cornbread, the Pate brilliant, the clams in green curry sauce...but as the menu changes frequently I'm not sure what you'll find next. Have fun.
