perfecto location, very agreeable place. The waiting staff is polite, helpful and amazing. The food was marvellous, and the "Jambom"/"Schweinaxel" (not always on the menu but may be available upon request, ask the waiters ;) ) was divinal.

The food was pretty much uneventful - I ordered some snacks to go with a drink. They were ok. I didn't like the place much, though. It was warm and they had the windows down, which made the cigarette smoke travel well inside of the place. It was also rather noisy.

Solid food (with carbonnades flamandes and tuna tataki really good, but some in our party complained about sub-standard potato wedges sold as fries and tasteless chicken meat) but for standard dishes a bit on the expensive side. Friendly service but room for improvement as regards speed and efficiency (e.g. drinks were only brought after food had been served and when we arrived, waiting staff were reviewing organisational details in front of us and at same length, totally ignoring us in an almost comical way).

The area is charming but quite touristy, which initially made us hesitate to book. However, this place is far from a tourist trap. The service is attentive yet unobtrusive, and the staff are incredibly kind. We even had the chance to meet the owner and exchange a few words. The design suited our taste perfectly, and the atmosphere was delightful. But the real highlight was the food, both in quality and quantity. We ordered a burger and a carbonnade, served with fries and salad, and they were absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be coming back.
