10/10+9Absolutely impeccable service and food. From start to finish the food and service was unbeatable. The employee who wears glasses is an especially personable and knowledgeable young lady. She smiled the entire evening and explained each dish in exquisite detail. The chef came out and greeted us at the end. This restaurant should be three Michelin stars.

10/10This was our last night in Trieste and I could not think of a more spectacular way to celebrate our amazing time here. Every facet of this culinary jewel was pitch perfect—from the moment we entered until our last farewells, we were treated like royalty. Each bite astounded with both complexity of flavor and synchrony of presentation, bursting with gifts of ingenuity and delight like nothing we had ever tasted before. And I have no words for the wine—felt like divinely crafted libations. The service was impeccable—knowledgeable and gracious, making a distinct and deeply personal connection. Thank you, Harry’s Piccolo, for giving my husband and I perhaps the best evening at any restaurant in our 48 years of marriage—we loved every single minute.

4.5/10This restaurant has lived long past its prime. The interiors were bleak and unwelcoming. The tables were all one size so parties of two sat at a table for eight persons. The tables were unattractive and not set; the only element on the table was a battery operated light. Fine dining includes pleasing all the senses and visually this restaurant was deplorable. The presentation of the food was ordinary at best, the tableware was ordinary and unrelated. The food was unmemorable. The maître d' was a fast hustle. the other wait staff followed his example. Their needs were placed before the dinners - they did not listen to our requests, they did not answer or questions and they frequently interrupted our conversations for their personal convenience. Although our primary server tried hard, when it came to the cheese course she was unaccomplished/uninformed. even though the restaurant has only two stars, you should take away three stars. The experience was worse than disappointing.

8.5/10Interesting cooking with regional touch. Very spicy, some dishes overly spicy - comparable with Amador in Vienna two years ago. Menu highlight is the dessert - fruity, spicy and sweet in perfect combination. Service excellent. Wine list offers sufficient choices

10/10The Harry's Piccolo restaurant is not as small as the name refers. It is located in piazza Unita İtalia, the most beautiful piazza in Trieste. We had a tasting menu with 7 delicious little courses. Although it is said 7 courses in fact, we started with 5 little amuse boushes, each of which was havenly tasty and followed by a few more little bites and warm home baked bread that is served with both butter from Normandy and the best quality extra virgin olive oil, which was topped up if you wish to have more. We wede offered extra bread when we finished the first loaf. We were full already before the menu started being served. There were two types of tasting menu interaction, 'Sea... Sea... Sea' and 'Interactions'. We opted for the second. The first one was only fish whereas the other was mixed with fish and red meat like rabit, lamb, wuggby and sweetbread etc. The dessert was the best one. The service was to perfection. The staff was very well trained and friendly. They jept changing the napkins, giving wet tissues to clean the fingers. The wine selection was excellent. To us, this restaurant should have been three starred, not two. We have never been to such a good one. We are keen michelin restaurant consumers and went to many of them around the world but not like this. We believe the restaurant will be upgraded soon. Thank you to tge staff and the chef who came to greet us in the end of the dinner.
