We booked this restaurant after looking on line for somewhere near to our last tour of the day. The menu wasn’t huge - which for me indicates good quality food… we were not disappointed!! I ordered the potato & leek soup, poached egg & black cabbage, if I’m honest I was hesitant but it was delicious! I had a cheese & peppercorn pasta for main which was delicious however just a bit rich so I wasn’t able to finish my portion. My husband had fish croquet for starter & carbonara for main; he said it was gorgeous The service was attentive, professional polite & the ambience was lovely. I would highly recommend this restaurant… the prices were very reasonable for the quality!

The food was cold. After I confronted the staff, I received a new hot plate of meat, but my side dish (potatoes) wasn't brought to me. In the end, I had hot meat but cold potatoes. I also ordered a bottle of wine, but the staff didn't refill it. They still need to improve their hospitality.

Wonderful experience. Waitresses were all attentive with a smile. We particularly loved the fact our waitress asked our 7 year old which specific pasta he wanted. Nice wine selection. A completely memorable evening. Next time we visit Rome we will return to Il Marchese. Grazie.
