Before it was the friendly restaurant with 7-10 seats only. But it was lovely and this place had a soul. Unfortunately the commercial approach ( many people and time mode) killed this unforgettable atmosphere. The same with their dishes. They are not unique already… So pitty…

From top of the shelf food quality (o-toro, chu-toro, ...) to the all black ambiance carefully designed to maximize the focus on the live action, everything creates a special experience. Being able to watch Jara-sensei preparing one of the best nigiri I've given the chance to taste, this is true luxury. Itadakimasu!

I can confidently say that this was the best Japanese restaurant experience I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The food was absolutely exceptional, with every dish crafted to perfection. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented, showcasing the true essence of Japanese cuisine. What made this evening even more special was that it wasn’t just my opinion – every single one of my colleagues who joined me that evening shared the same sentiment. We were all thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and the impeccable service. The ambiance of the restaurant was also wonderful, creating a perfect setting to enjoy such a memorable meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates high-quality Japanese food. We will definitely be returning soon!

Amazing service. We went as a couple new Year Eve and we were amazed by the quality of the products and the service. Our waitress spoke English and everything was perfectly done and explained. I have tasted a lot of sushi places in Barcelone and this one easily the best.

Amazing sushi! The tasting menu was fabulous, so good we ordered extra of two of the dishes. Coming from the states, we don’t always find great sushi, but this was one of the best sushi experiences we’ve ever had!

The whole staff at Jara are one family wanting to share their love and knowledge for what they do. Jonathan and Robby were so nice and accommodating. This is a meal my fiancé and I will be talking about for our lifetime.

What an over the top amazing/perfect sushi dinner at Jara! Decor and ambiance is great, small and simple. The quality of the fish is top notch. Traditional sashimi and nigiri is so delicious and the more advanced flavors of their special nigiri took us on a flavor journey. Highly recommend! Haven’t had sushi like that in years. Thank you to all the wonderful staff and chefs as well. Beyond welcoming and nice. Really 100/10!
