10/10Delicious Omakase. Fantastic selection of Sakes. Very kind service. Lighting and music is perfect. Make sure you book through the Fork and ask for the bar seating,. We'd booked through Google and didn't have that option, so we were randomly assigned a normal table, but the staff was kind enough to accommodate us at the bar!

10/10This was our last dinner in Spain after a 14 vacation. We picked Jara because of it's high ratings and what we considered to be a fair price for Omakase. We arrived a little late for our 7:30 reservation. It is a small restaurant and when I checked in, the Maitre d informed me that I had mistakenly made a reservation for 2 and we are 4. Initially, he explained that the restaurant is completely full and he regretted that we would have to go elsewhere. After I explained our situation, he spoke to someone else and offered us a table that was reserved for a 9:00 party. He told us that we had to be out before 9:00, we happily accepted. When I told him that we would all get Omakase, he told me that there would not be a problem getting us out by 9. As it turned out, the 9:00 reservation canceled and we were able to enjoy our food and dessert past 9:00. The food was definitely worth it, I highly recommend Jara and am extremely grateful to the Maitre d for saving our last dinner in Barcelona!

9.5/10We enjoyed the tasting menu very much and would recommend it as a perfect way to try out a restaurant. The service was excellent. We were a bit surprised that IVA (VAT) was not included in the price of the tasting menu (as is the usual procedure) - it was added on to the total.

6/10This dining experience wasn’t exactly what we had hoped for. The food was good, though was very overpriced for what it was. It wasn’t worth the €200 bill. I grew up in California and was spoiled by excellent Japanese food, so maybe it just wasn’t up to par with those standards. The food quality was great, but the dishes were nothing spectacular. For nearly €100 each, we expected a better experience. There are plenty of other places in Barcelona you can spend this money on for similar sushi. I noted in my reservation that we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. I also noted this to two of our servers and asked if we could have a special song or dessert to celebrate, which I would have happily paid for. Unfortunately the birthday was not recognized. Our experience at Jara was subpar and we won’t be returning or recommending it to others.

10/10Clean, beautiful place. Incredible staff , well dressed, profesional and very informative on their offers. The food was excellent. If you want top of the line sushi I highly suggest you go there.
