7.5/10The service was friendly and attentive, the food came quickly and the portions were generous (especially the shaving of the truffles! In terms of ambience and food presentation, it really is a Cantina, as named, and certainly not a fine dining restaurant. Tastewise, I found the pastas to be more muted in flavour and less al dente than I prefer. Pricing (except for alcohol) is lower than most inner city establishments in Rome and it has all the local specialties: e.g. stuffed courgette flowers, fried artichokes, stuffed fried olives, cacio e pepe, gricia, carbonara, amatriciana, polpette, trippa romana and a whole lot more. So I'd recommend it for diners on a budget who want to have a hearty meal and try a range of Roman dishes!
