I love the staff there. They are all so nice, friendly, efficient and professional. They have a wide selection of different focaccias, very reasonably priced. I have also tried their tordelli lunchesi, lasagna, beef with potatoes and tiramisù. All of It delicious 😋

It was our 1st night in Lucca and didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t understand the menu and the waiter didn’t speak English and was not very friendly. We chose the wrong pizza which was our fault so didn’t eat it all. You have to then go outside to queue with people buying takeaways to pay. It took ages. Okay for families.

The food was okay but it's better to not sit inside and to buy food and sit somewhere around the restaurant or outside the restaurant where there's also on the wall surrounding the city a lot of grass and places to sit. it's better to do take away. You can buy lots of small dishes. the music inside was too loud. And one pizza is more than enoght for two people.

The place is clean and well-decorated. The waiters are really helpful and kind, they always smile and even make you feel home with the right joke and humour. Finally, the food is superb. Really good pizza, not in the traditional way. Love the Crunches!

Our first nights dinner on our return to Lucca. Had just recently read on TripAdvisor about la Cranceria and knew we had to try.......since my maiden name was “Crance” whic is an unusual name. Being tired after a long flight we wanted only a small meal. The meat and cheese board was delicious and plentiful......honey and marinated onions a perfect accompliment......we then each had one slice of their “unique” thin crust pizzas. All looked delicious and my carbonara one was top rated. They have two hidden back dining rooms ......when entering you think it might be take out only. Our server was gracious and friendly. Wine served only by the glass or bottle but what we did not drink was brought home. Will definitely return.
