We so enjoyed dinner here we visited twice in 5 days. The setting on the lake is so lovely - peaceful and calm away from the piazza. Service was excellent and attentive. We shared capresse salad one evening and shared the burrata ravioli the second and enjoyed them both. The branzino and orata perfectly grilled and paired with delicious roasted vegetables. Highly recommend La Grolla when visiting Menaggio.

Delicious food and wine however felt that customer service was lacking. It was a special family meal for Mum's 60th birthday - it was mentioned on the booking form-but staff were generally disinterested and didn't go out of their way to make it enjoyable.Might I recommend some light throws/blankets for the evening ..our ladies were a little cold as the night progressed. Everyone did enjoy the evening and the actual meal though ..just felt overlooked as a group.

The staff are welcoming and so lovely, and the food is out of this world! Going back tonight for third night in a row, same menu but different guests and there is always something new to try (although I keep having the lobster!!) Lakeside dining is magical.

Our table on the patio afforded an exquisite lake view. Extensive menu. Food was fresh, portions were ample. Service was charming, but pace needed work; as the tables filled, attention slowed considerably.

Beautiful view of the lake from patio seating. Disappointing that the food wasn’t really good. Very basic at best all around. No seasoning, bland and lacked in presentation. Worst meal of our Italy trip so far unfortunately.

Fantastic place to have some food, drinks and an unbeatable view of the Lake in Menaggio! The pistachio crema linguine was delicious and the Frito Misto was great too. No better place to enjoy Lake Como with friends.

We saw a fox outside! Its located a bit away from giant hotels. There is a mini golf outside. It is not overly crowded. The breads and food are fresh. Portions are grand especially the muscles/ shellfish dishes. Good wine selections

Been back two nights in a row…..that’s how much we enjoyed it.

Very rude female server. Kept arguing with me about a dish and repeatedly called me LADY. Food we did not finish was all put in one box. Salad with linguine and fish. Awfully at best. Disrespectfully overall!

Very limited gluten-free options despite being advertised as able to accommodate them. The waitstaff unhelpful in figuring out possible options. We felt very unwelcome. Too bad because the view was amazing.
