I had booked our reservation directly through the Tremezzo website and reconfirmed it through The Fork and our concierge called and confirmed our dinner, so I thought we were set. I was quite upset as when arrived, the restaurant was not able to accommodate us. I am not sure if they did not have our reservation or if because of the weather they moved people to our table from outside. They came up with a solution of seating us in their casual restaurant in a cellar below, but we were quite disappointed as had come for the T Bar view and menu. The food & service at L'Escarale were excellent, but I was very disappointed that our reservation was not honored. I was dining with my husband and our college age kids so being put in a room with all families with young kids, made us feel like we weren't good enough to eat at T Bar. I am a travel agent with SmartFlyer that frequently books this hotel for our clients as well as their restaurants forr clients visiting Lake Como, so was disappointed

The ambience is amazing. However, we noted that we were there for our 35th anniversary, and the hostess sat us back in the corner .. when there was an open four top by the terrace with a great view. When we said why can't we have that table, she said it was set for 3 ppl not 2 .. but subsequently sat 2 people there. Then when we finally got our food, it was VERY mediocre and not worth the $$$. My caesar salad looked so sad. The lettuce wasn't fresh, and the shrimp were sad looking. My husband's veal was overcooked and dry, with no sauce. I would not return here. Very disappointed.
