First of all, assigning a counter seat to a solo diner without prior notice was really disappointing. The food was a disaster — we ordered a set menu and added two à la carte dishes, but out of all that, only the roasted pork belly was barely acceptable. Every other dish left us completely confused. The service was also terrible; it took us 15 minutes just to get a waiter’s attention to place our order.

7.5/10The food really was creative and delicious. Really enjoyed the roasted butternut squash with the cold foam and pepitas. The chorizo stuffed squid with cubes of arancini essentially were also incredible. Did enjoy the beef with the potato tart — would personally enjoy more greens/veggies. Overall experience, I do think more could be done to improve the ambiance upstairs. There was a large family at the table next to us with 2 kids with bright iPads. That wasn’t a great date night vibe to start but also the lights were too bright (the one near us was missing the black lightbulb cover so the light was going right in my eye). Also had the bad luck of breaking a wine glass unfortunately. While embarrassing (never done before!), it was a really uneven rough cut wood table, and the glasses were placed on leather coasters. Maybe not the best idea. I’d recommend dimming the lights, including the black piece under each light bulb to diffuse, and more warm, inviting decor upstairs.

8.5/10Wörth a derour, try any dish with sauces, there is a wizzard in the kitchen. Service ist hearty but for the size needs more hands. Also, the deserts are amazing, not sweet but a splendid way to conclude. The wine list is as always overwhelming, worth to discuss what works best.

4/10The starter was a mess with not much flavour. The main course was ok but still lacking the quality you expect from a BiB Michelin restaurant. The service was not as you could expect from a BiB restaurant. Absolutely no presentation of the food and the fact that we have to reuse the cutlery between the dishes and have them lying on the table (without tablecloth) was really offputting. We will never recommend this restaurang.

7.5/10Incredibly slow service. My fish was overcooked to the point of being difficult to cut. Rest of meal good, but despite asking three times for our check we actually had to get up and go to the cash register to pay. Not our best meal in Beaune!

This highly recommended restaurant met my expectations due to the friendly service, good wine, and excellent dishes. I ordered the beef and the sommelier recommended two wines of which I choose the stronger of the two which I enjoyed. The dessert of raspberry and matcha was good though did find the raspberry did overpowered the matcha for my tastes. Overall a excellent meal.
