3/10When we came in there was only one couple dining. I said, in French that I was Mr x (where I am here using x to preserve my privacy) and had a reservation. She then asked me for my family name. I told her x is my family name , to which she responded that that was not possible; in France x can only be a first name. I told her I am American, but in escalating impertinence, she asked once again for my family name. My wife had enough and slapped her hand on the counter and stated, this time forcibly, that x IS our family name. We were then told that our kind was not wanted in the restaurant and asked us to leave. As x is an obviously Jewish name, we took this as an act of anti-semitism and left. Would not recommend this establishment if you are Jewish or have a Jewish name.
