10/10The waiter of the restaurant is very helpful and honest when being asked for advice. The dishes taste very good and the general ambiente of the location is amusing and inviting. Definitely again when we will be in Paris!

10/10Love the intimate space. Old world Paris which I love but simple. The staff and service were exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious as was the wine and the peach cobbler was to die for. So delicious so fun.

10/10We had a fabulous evening at Le Petit Commines last night. Great little restaurant on a quiet street in the Marais. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the street in gorgeous early summer weather. M. Papounet, the owner, is an entertaining, animated and convivial host with a passion for locally grown produce (including from his garden) and ethically sourced foods. Starters and mains were beautifully prepared (we didn't order desserts as jet lag overtook us) - the razor clams were an absolute highlight! M. Papounet also has the most inventive way of arriving at the perfect wine choices for the meal. It was a bit like being immersed in a personal performance art piece. The bordeaux that emerged from his series of evocative questions was excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending Le Petit Commines to anyone seeking a relaxed and delicious meal in the Marais.

9.5/10This restaurant was a great find as we were looking for an authentic French restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent with fresh produce, carefully thought through and nicely presented. Special mention is the escargo - the mushroom starter, pork and monk fish mains, desserts were very good too. The service was great - with a lot of pain taken by the staff to explain the menu to us. Overall a great experience and a must visit for us in our next trip to Paris.

10/10Our meal was perfectly presented and delicious. The service was excellent as well. Two things as concerns. The fork discount does not show up on your bill if you pay through the QR code. They were quick to adjust and make things right.. Just take note. Second, the wine prices (glass of a house red) is the most expensive I have encountered in the Paris restaurants we have (15 Euros). I'm sure the wine is excellent but there should be a more affordable option. We went with the water!

9/10The food was all very fine, the bread was generally quite dense though. Nice concept, and very fresh ingredients, the noise level gets a bit high when it was full house.

9/10The restaurant is charming and welcoming, a mix of locals and tourists. The food is inventive without being "weird." Not every dish is a perfect success, the lentils side dish was bland but the leek (poirons) starter was a triumph. The St. Jaques (scallops) were delicious and the dessert, a deconstructed lemon tart served with dollops of a ruby chocolate mousse was perfect. Rather than a wine list you will be asked questions which will guide your server to choose a wine for you. A fun, interesting process. I was at this restaurant a year ago and I was there yesterday and I will be there again next year when I revisit Paris.
